“With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love”
Ephesians 4:2
Happy Tuesday sweet friends…hopefully you all are staying warm and cozy inside on this chilly winter day! Here in the Deep South, the excitement is at an all-time high…we are expecting snow! When James Spann (our weather man) starts talking about the “white stuff”, everyone gets frantic and rushes to the grocery stores to buy milk and bread! Do any of my Southern friends know why these two items get paired together when snow is in the forecast? I have never been able to figure out why…maybe milk sandwiches!?! If the forecast is correct and we do get snow, it should be here by the time you guys read this! It’s a rare occurrence for us in the South, so we get a little excited! Today’s tablescape is giving a nod towards Valentine’s Day, with Toile Pink and Roses stealing the show! Come on in where it is warm and pull up a chair!
My dining room has taken on a completely different appearance as it went from a favorite shade of red called Mediterranean Spice to a soft Palladian Blue. I am loving the change.
The tablesetting has a romantic feel for the most romantic of holidays!
The “toile pink” scalloped dishware is by Churchill of England. I bought a service for eight plus serving pieces years ago at Tuesday Morning. It was an unbelievable price and I could not pass it up…it is now discontinued. The chargers are my favorite and most often used “Baroque” by American Atelier.|
Spray roses are placed in the “toile pink” milk pitcher!
The “Dublin” iced beverage goblets are by Godinger and currently on sale at Horchow.com!
A pair of Italian made figurines add to the romance of the tablescape.
Grocery store spray roses identified as pink flash and white and pink majolica make a sweet Valentine’s centerpiece!
A burlap and ruffled cotton table runner adds a little texture to the bare wood of the table.

The roses are magnificent and the tableware is excellent!
Thank you for sharing beauty
Dolores
Just beautiful Pam! I’m loving your pretty soft blue walls in your dining room too. I was lucky to find four pink toile dinner plates at a favorite antique mall several years ago. I love their pretty scenes and pattern. I hope you’re enjoying some beautiful fluffy white snow. We’re expecting rain and then a wintry mix as the cold air comes in behind it. Stay warm. ♥
Thank you Mary. So far this morning we only have rain. Some areas nearby have snow. Stay warm❤️
Has Ella Mae seen snow before? So exciting for us Southerners. Several years ago a woman was interviewed on tv here … (put on your best Southern drawl) “they were out of bread and milk, so I bought biscuits and beer!” Your entire dining room has a very romantic feeling, and today’s table is exquisite. BTW, ever since you did the two tones of carnations in the Wedgewood pitcher, I have unsuccessfully been on the hunt for that combo. Stay warm!
Good morning Roxanne. Ella Mae has seen snow, but doesn’t remember it. The biscuits and beer comment is hilarious. So far, only rain here! Thank you dear friend, I hope you find the carnations. Stay warm and cozy!
That soft blue is so very lovely! And yes, a different, more gentle (dare I say feminine?) feel. That table setting is lovely with those beautiful roses and I certainly love the china! Now, the big question — can you leave it in place till Valentine’s Day? I don’t think so!
Good morning Jeanie and thank you. I won’t be able to leave it, but I do have a friend coming this weekend. I think we can enjoy it with her. Stay warm!
Oh, Pam – my heart is doing flips. Your china is so lovely and all together your table is exquisite. I am especially in love with your Italian figurines. They truly bring romance to the table, not to mention your beautiful roses. All ~ simply gorgeous !
Everything is white here in WV this morning. More on the way and very cold. I hope you will see some snow, especially for your precious little one. Have a lovely day and week, dear friend! ❤
Thank you Sandra! We missed the snow here, and I am disappointed because it is so rare. Have a beautiful day sweet friend, and stay warm❤️
Pam, I adore both toile and roses, and your table made me smile on this cold winter’s morning! It is absolutely gorgeous. Every little detail is perfection! Simply beautiful! I have been looking at those Godinger Crystal glasses for a while. I may have to break down, and purchase them. Stay warm, and enjoy your day, sweet friend!!!
Thank you sweet Shannon. Our forecasted snow did not happen here, but it is cold. Stay warm and cozy dear friend!
So sweet, Pam!
Thank you Donna!
The toile and roses make for a romantic and elegant table. Every detail is perfect. Hope you get a little snow for Ella Mae.
Thank you Dianne. There is no snow, not even a flake. Stay warm and cozy dear friend!
Such a soft pretty color of toile! Your table setting is beautiful. Did you get the snow?
Thanks so much Penny! Stay warm today.
That’s a beautiful toile pattern in your china, Pam. I can tell how you love your dining room color. i don’t believe you ever showed the room in such entirety as you now do. That’s a testament to loving your choice!
Rita, I do love the new color! However, the red was dramatic and this is subtle. Stay warm!
Oh this is so soft, sweet and pretty Pam! I loved your red walls, but the soft blue is such a great backdrop and so suits this lovely setting! The china is beautiful! Love the figurines, such a beautiful romantic setting! We got about 3 snowflakes, which is fine with me, but my grandsons were very disappointed!
Jenna
Thanks so much Jenna! Stay warm, it is quite cold outside.
What a beautiful, feminine table Pam! Love the color combinations. The toile dinnerware with the roses & Italian figurines is so striking & it’s a perfect Valentine’s tablescape. We missed the snow as well. Stay warm & dry! Hope you & your friend have a wonderful visit this weekend. Clara ❤️❄️
Thank you sweet Clara. You may have mentioned this before, do you live in Alabama?
We live in SW TN. Thanks for asking. We get excited for snow (& we were supposed to get around an inch) but most of the time we miss it or get ice which as you know is no fun. Would love snow so the children wanting it could enjoy it like your sweet Ella Mae & others in our area who got sleds & are waiting to use them. Enjoy your afternoon. Clara
I know about the snow excitement. They were telling us 2-3 inches and we didn’t even get a snowflake. Our DIL is a school teacher and school was canceled, so at least she and Ella Mae had a good day at home. It is really cold outside. Have a wonderful week!
A truly beautiful and ever so romantic table…I am so loving the Palladian Blue walls!!! Yes, around here there is always a run of bread and eggs and milk…I guess it is because we have a tendency for our power to go out and be stuck in the house due to icy road conditions….I think we are getting a light dusting which is fine…just no ice and our hope that our homes remain with power! Happy Snow Day!
Thanks Shirley. We didn’t get any snow, just cold and windy here!
Oh, this is truly one of my favorites of yours so far!! I love it all, but the precious, pale pink napkins are my favorite part of the whole scene! I LOVE those!!! Just so delicate and feminine. You do such an amazing job, my friend. God bless you today!!
Roses in winter … the loveliest pick-me-up!
So good to meet you today, Pam …
What a romantic table for Valentines! I really enjoyed the red and white China.
Your new soft blue walls are stunning!

I hope you are going to have girlfriends to this table as it is a beauty for girls who like pink. No snow in Houston but it is a bit chilly. Stay warm and have fun with Ella Mae in the white stuff.
Our snow prediction did not happen, not a single snowflake!?
Dear Pam, your table is gorgeous, specially that stunning and romantic centerpiece with roses. I so love your pink plates as well.

Terrific, beautiful china find, Pam. I, too, love your new blue wall color. I love snow, so I know you’ll enjoy your southern rarity. I always feel, if it has to be cold, make the day beautiful with a generous dusting of snow-covered hills. Hubby and I were out taking snow pictures yesterday–got some fantastic shots of stone houses, barns, a red covered bridge, and waterfall on a winding creek. It was a fun, memory-making day! Hugs!.
Bobbi, I know your photos are gorgeous! I would love to share a few on Simple Southern Sunday and give you photo credits. I think the readers would enjoy. Enjoy your weekend!
How beautiful it all is. I just love your gorgeous photos! Recently, I heard someone say that the pre-snow grocery trip is the “French toast run.” (Milk, bread, and eggs!) My daughter and I, though, are more concerned about having enough snacks! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Thursday Favorite Things!
Pam, that is so funny…French toast run. Have a wonderful weekend!
Beautiful table Pam. The soft pinks and white are just perfection! Pure perfection.
Christine, thank you so much! Wishing you a wonderful week!
Love love love your newest tablescape, Pam! This bouquet of grocery store flowers is perfect with the pink toile pitcher… just lovely!!! Happy to come back and visit for the Feb. blog hop!
Hugs,
Barb 🙂
Thank you Barb!
Pam I had to laugh when I clicked on a gorgeous BNOTP Link Party pic and landed once again on your stunning site! 🙂 Obviously I’m crazy about what you do – and you’ve really outdone yourself here! These soft Valentines colors are so so beautiful, and I love your dining room, the furniture, the chandelier, the art, and everything! 💗 Thank you so much for the continuous flow of inspiration!!
Thank you so much Barbara. I appreciate your kind comments.
i have begun collecting the Pink Toile recently and I am in love. I might have to park myself here for a while so I can drool over your set. This table is utterly beautiful and romantic. Your rose centerpiece is swoon worthy. You’ve created the most romantic table. I love the blue walls, too.
