Hello dear friends. I was so thrilled to welcome my favorite season’s official arrival yesterday. No, it doesn’t feel like autumn, but surely it will happen in a few weeks. Once again you find me in the garden for Tablescape Tuesday.

Setting a table in the fading garden has all the autumn feels!

The Williams Sonoma “Harvest Pumpkin” salad plates were added to my dish collection last year and were my inspiration for this table setting.

This dinnerware is inspired by Dutch still life painting. Ripe gourds, fruit, and leaves are set against a bold black glaze, and each rim is hand-painted in 14-karat gold alloy.

Amber stemware that was bought so long ago is a favorite for this season!

 

Zinnias and American beautyberry combine for a centerpiece!

American Atelier “baroque” dinner plates and pitcher are one of my go-to’s!

Pumpkin-colored vintage linen napkins and gold flatware…

…accent the pumpkin salad plates!

Autumn casts beautiful light over the pasture…

…and over the leaves in the garden!

  5. My dear friend, autumn has not yet shown his face, but the images are fantastic. The dishes are very original and very beautiful, I love all the autumn motifs, they are beautiful.
    The garden is magnificent but still does not look autumnal. Let’s take the time from time to time, it’s just a matter of a few days … like everything in life, you don’t have to hurry, everything comes … fortunately.

Every time I see zinnias I think of you 🙂 Your arrangement in the pretty white pitcher is so simple but just perfect for this garden table, it compliments without taking away from the whole setting. I am drooling over your pumpkin plates, soooo pretty! Love the stemware and the soft autumn colors in your tablecloth…

  8. I was so mixed up when I commented here the other day – I mistakenly thought the first day of fall was 9/21! LOL! But, it truly IS officially here, now!   9. Everyone has the same word for your plates! Stunning!!! The table is just beautiful with the pitcher of zinnias and the amber glassware. The light in your garden definitely has changed even if the temperature has not, so lovely. Pam, would you believe Kohl’s shipped my replacement plates and once again did not cushion them?!? This time I called customer service and politely asked for a supervisor. She could not believe it either, told me to throw the broken plates away, and was sending a message up the line to a VP. The next set is on its way…we shall see!

  14. Lovely nod to fall. The vintage napkins look so nice with the WS pumpkin plates and your tablecloth. Of course the pretty pitcher full of zinnias and beauty berry brings happy colors and texture to your fall table.
    Love your stacked pumpkins in your urn.

  25. Pam, This is gorgeous! I peeked at it on my cell phone on Tuesday but didn’t have time to comment. I love the pastel pink and large checks of the tablecloth in contrast to the dark Harvest Pumpkin plates. It’s always a treat to have a virtual seat at a table in your garden. ♥

  28. Your table setting is very pretty — fall colors, but in the softer shades. I like all the touches of white you’ve used to keep it light. And I’m truly envious of your garden. Mine is forlorn, drought-stricken, barely holding on. But there’s always spring…
