Happy Thursday sweet friends! You have heard me say over and over again how much I love the autumn season. Seems it has a beauty and glory all its own. We are unsure if our Appalachian Foothills will be ablaze with the brilliant colors of autumn due to lack of rain and extreme September and early October temperatures. Just in case, I dug into the archives of past fall seasons when nature was putting on quite a show. This is what we are hoping for in the coming weeks! Butch was traveling in north Georgia this week and noted some nice color showing up in a few places which brings encouragement! And let’s be honest; the Creator always provides us with an amazing autumn!

Glorious photos of amazing autumn beauty Pam! We’ve yet to see any color here in NC due our unseasonably warm September and October. We were in the NC mountains this weekend and there was very little color to see even there. Hopefully our cool temps this week will bring on the color. Happy Thursday ♥

I want to walk through those woods you pictured. I can almost smell the forest. It brings back memories of walking the woods with my grandmother, looking for running cedar to use in decorating for Christmas, and searching for the perfect tree to decorate in our country home. The colors are fantastic. Hope your Fall colors show up this year just as glorious as you remember.

Pam, you always find the best quotations…perfection! Hardly any color here either, but the leaves are falling anyway. The sun definitely is beaming at different angles and the pond is now covered in fog on these cool mornings, so I’m finding beauty in those changes.

The colors are so beautiful! I haven’t been able to get out and see if our mountains are covered in colors this beautiful yet. I love driving the Blue Ridge Parkway this time of year and seeing all the beautiful changes.

I am in lower western Michigan and we are just starting to get our color! I think the color is at least 2 to 3 weeks behind. Take heart…you may have color as late as Thanksgiving this year.

Thank you sweet Mary, our rain started on Friday morning and stopped last night. Our ground enjoyed its much needed watering, but leaves fell from the trees that had barely begun to turn.
