“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart.”
Proverbs 21:2
Not a lot of sun this past week around our part of the world. We read that Seattle hasn’t had a sunny day since December 1, so we have no complaints!
Our one sunny day did provide some nice reflections!
This scene will begin to change soon. The wild onions are already taking notice!
EM will be into Valentine’s Day. She is quite fond of pink!
EK will be into everything if allowed. I think she just got caught!
A winter day in “Owls Hollow”. Or, “Al’s Holler” if you prefer!
The mud flats of Weiss Lake offer a beauty all their own when winter lake levels reveal them!
Flowers cheer up a room and get us in the mood for…
The days are noticeably longer. Did your local Groundhog see it’s shadow?

Just saw Punxsutawney Phil not see his shadow. Guess he knows his business but it is 6 weeks from Spring. I’m ever so ready to see green grass and play in the garden. Have a blessed day. Who are you, Pam and the princesses pulling for in the super bowl today?
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Alice, I know living in CO you welcome spring. I really don’t have a preference in the Super Bowl, but I guess Kansas City. Have a wonderful week❤️
Nancy says
Have No Fear Spring is on It’s Way! Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow!
All of God’s beauty in your neck of the woods…still shines on days that the sun does not.
The girls are getting bigger! They are going to love Valentine’s Day!
Happy Sunday Pam! ❤️
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I am hopeful for springtime when everything wakes up. Have a wonderful week my friend ❤️
Sandra at Maison De Jardin says
Dear Pam, such beautiful photos as always. Ella Mae does love pink and it is her color. I love to see it next to her face. And, the ‘little one,’ my are her wheels turning. Your roses are lovely and they certainly put one in the mood for Valentine’s Day, which will be here in a blink. I must not fail to comment on the fog in your beautiful garden, such a pretty photo. And the sunset, melts my heart.
Wishing you a beautiful day and wonderful week ahead. ❤
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you sweet Sandra. It was so good to enjoy sun and mild temps today. Wishing you a most delightful week❤️
Clara says
Beautiful pics Pam! It’s going to be a warm 60 or so, sunny day here after a rather dreary cool week. The trees are in bloom so spring is coming. We’re recuperating from bronchitis brought on by allergies. The girls are so cute! I love the church’s architecture- traditional & inviting! Have a blessed Sunday! Clara ♥️
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Clara, thank you. I am so sorry you both have had bronchitis, hope you begin to feel better real soon. Take care❤️

Oh those faces!! I have definitely noticed the longer days, it’s so nice it’s not pitch dark at 4:30 🙂 And thank you Phil for declaring an early Spring! How close is your home to Weiss Lake? All the photos are beautiful! We are looking forward to Super Bowl on the patio this afternoon with these warmer temps!

Pam @ Everyday Living says
Yay for sun and spring! Jenna, we are about ten miles from Weiss Lake. The Coosa River is very close behind our property line. How fun to enjoy the Super Bowl on the patio with a fire!

Love your Southern Sundays. The girls are so adorable, I love seeing them both. The changes happen so rapidly when they’re young. EK is really beginning to show her personality in hers! I love the subtle changes of winter to spring, we only need to take a walk and see them daily!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Yes, spring will be here before long. The days are noticeably longer, which I love. The girls bring me much joy! Have a wonderful week Rita!

Pam, winter has a beauty all of its own and you have captured that beauty. It seems we have seen very little sunshine in weeks. Your girls are just so precious. I am always ready for roses and chocolate. Beautiful! Have a wonderful week.

Winter has a beauty and I love discovering it. Wishing you a wonderful week sweet Dianne!

One needs flowers to get in the mood for chocolate????? Your rose arrangement certainly makes the chocolate more delectable. Oh those little ones… Was it alright to scoop up little
Miss exquisite blue eyes and tenderly get my hug for the day? She is so huggable… and our
precious EM makes all things St. Valentine’s Day rosy and pink…She is so demure. Well, the
sun broke through today and is showering us with its welcome warmth, so Punxsutawney Phil
has earned cheers and his keep for another year…My do we need an early Spring. Another
Sunday of inspiration and great photos from you and Butch to make our day….Blessing you both
with gratitude for your tender, Christian spirit.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Yay for spring! We had a most gorgeous day with sun and mild temperatures, such a welcome change from gray skies and rain. Little blue eyes is so huggable and loves to snuggle. She often falls asleep on my shoulder, such a sweet gift. EM is so funny and converses like an adult. I am totally in awe of God’s goodness. I am sorry to gush over them. Flowers and chocolate are perfect anytime. Wishing you a delightful week my friend!
Patti Fralix says
Happy Sunday, Pam. I am a little behind in reading blogs, but had to read yours this am, and need to catch up on some from the past. I have saved them for reading later, and of course, sometimes do not get back to them due to life getting in the way. I love the photos of the girls, and I agree with what some others have said, that they are growing so fast. Has Emma’s name been shortened to EK? I note that you also have EM for Ella Mae, so perhaps those initials for the girls are just shorthand on the blog. All of the photos are lovely, as usual, even those that are without sun! Love to you and all of the family.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you sweet Patti, we haven’t shortened their names, we often use them so as not to use their given names. I am also behind in commenting, but I have read all of your posts and always enjoy them. Maybe we can chat this week.
Cheryl says
Those sweet little girls! SO precious and growing up so fast! God bless you all on this Lord’s Day!

Yes, friend Pam, the days get longer. I thought it was an appreciation of mine, but I notice that in its latitudes it also shows.
Today I highlight girls as a beauty preference … They are beautiful!
Interesting winter photos, I like nature in all its forms, but in a short time the sun will begin to rise, flooding these beautiful fields with light.
Happy week

Abrazos, Pam

So glad to see the sun shining today. We also had sunshine on Thursday but rain on Friday and cloudy, cold, and damp on Saturday. Sunshine is invigorating.

The roses are beautiful. I look forward to MMB tomorrow.
