Hello dear friends! I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Easter weekend. The weather was absolutely perfect yesterday and the girls had so much fun hunting Easter eggs.
“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”
Psalm 19:14
It is the first Monday of the month and I am joining my friends for beautiful spring blooms. We are so glad to be welcoming back our sweet Shirley! She has certainly been missed. Next Monday, April 12 we will be sharing a special Monday Morning Blooms with a fabulous giveaway! Three Monday Morning Blooms are coming your way this month!
Early spring in the South finds many trees in full bloom…dogwoods, cherry trees, redbuds, fruit trees! I am always in awe of their beauty.
The beautiful spring floral links for Lidy, Mary, and Shirley are at the bottom of this post!
As I wait for the garden to come into bloom, I love setting our picnic area. It is located across the driveway next to a wooded area with a view of the Appalachian Foothills. The snowball viburnums were beautiful last Friday before they were a little frostbitten that night. The pair are more like small trees than bushes, standing at about fifteen feet! They make quite the show!
The spring arrangement is really simple. Kwanzan cherry blossoms, and snowball viburnum blooms that I didn’t really arrange, but allowed them to take on a free form.
An April Cornell cloth makes a lovely foundation for the spring blooms!
The winter rye grass needed a trim, but we had torrential rain last week and the ground was saturated. It was also extremely windy for several days. You might notice my blooms shifted some from picture to picture. I finally just gave up and allowed them to go where the wind took them.
We estimate that the Kwanzan cherry tree is approximately fifty years old. It was planted by the previous owners of the farm. The lady was a wonderful gardener and her house and surrounding gardens were stunning.
A stack of three plates rest on wicker placemats…Royal Stafford “oriental pheasant” transferware, vintage Noritake, and Johnson Brothers “rose chintz”.
As I was editing photos, I kept noticing the reflection in the stemware!
As the trees continue to leaf out, this area will become more dense with foliage! The warmer summer weather will bring on the beautiful lavender colored blooms of the Rose of Sharon which are directly behind the table!
Light and shadows were really dancing around the table!
“I’ve seen spring come to the orchard every year as far back as I can remember and I’ve never grown tired of it. Oh, the wonder of it! The outrageous beauty! God didn’t have to give us cherry blossoms you know. He didn’t have to make apple trees and peach trees burst into flower and fragrance. But God just loves to splurge. He gives us all this magnificence and then, if that isn’t enough, he provides fruit from such extravagance.”

Spring has definitely arrived at your beautiful home. I LOVE your freeform arrangement. It is the “Mother Nature Arrangement”…beautiful Pam. Your arrangement set in nature on your beautiful Spring table is like a page in a magazine. Your April Cornell tablecloths are always a joy to see. Yes, I love the reflections of the glasses on the table….cannot imagine how wonderful it is to sit at that table and view those beautiful Appalachian foothills. What a glorious site. Hope your Easter was filled with joy Pam. I am so happy to be back with my Bloom friends. Have a great day!
Shirley, we had a lovely Easter that we enjoyed outdoors. It is so good to have you back. Wishing you a wonderful week!
Good Morning Pam, What a gorgeous snowball viburnum! It makes a stunning backdrop for your table and arrangement. Those cherry blooms are beautiful too! I love how the light is highlighting your table and arrangement. You have the most gorgeous AC linens. Love seeing The Sunshine Cottage in the background. We’re a couple of weeks behind you in the spring blooming department so I was holding my breath with our freezing temperatures this weekend. Some of the hydrangea leaves turned black and there are areas of brown around the snowball blooms that are still green. The bush by the water faired ok as the warmer water temperature protected it from frost but the one by my shed was nipped. I feel so badly for the strawberry and apple growers. As always it’s a treat to join you for some flower therapy, Happy Monday ♥
Mary, we had three straight nights below freezing. The first night was windy which prevented frost. We covered peonies, but blooming trees were bitten. It seems to happen each year. Wishing you a lovely week!
Oh, the beauty today! You have shown the beauty of God’s provision so extravagantly with your choice of flowers, setting, and how you set your table. It is indeed lovely and you also showed your heart God gave you.
I love Lynn Austin’s quote. I wish I could put words together like that.
I enjoyed the feast of beauty this morning. Spring is so beautiful. Your arrangement is stunning as well as the setting.
Thank you dear Bonnie. Wishing you a beautiful spring day!
Just gorgeous! I love the outdoors and your taking advantage to enjoy what’s on your property, Pam. I love that quote, particularly of God loving to splurge!
Thanks so much Rita. Wishing you a beautiful spring day!
What a lovely snowball viburnum! It makes for such a beautiful backdrop. Everything about this says “Spring”. You have such a beautiful property and view. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Thank you so much Debbie! Happy Monday!
How pretty, love your fresh floral tablescape. It is finally warming up this week to the 70s!
Yay for spring weather. Thank you Carole!
Oh, sweet friend! This is just breathtaking! I don’t ever remember seeing a prettier floral arrangement!! You are SO talented, and the way you keep coming up with new and creative ways to display your tablescapes is truly a gift from God. All of the colors just compliment one another so beautifully. I know the lady who lived there before you must have been an amazing gardener, but she truly has nothing on the two of you and the way you have everything arranged and situated. It is always such a dear joy to come here and visit with you and see your gorgeous property. May the Lord richly bless you for sharing it all with us here. Thank you for providing such a reprieve from all the bad news and negativity that permeates online. You are such a light to this dark world.
Cheryl, your comments are so encouraging. Thank you for your friendship. I know spring is showing out around your home. Wishing you a wonderfully blessed week!
That arrangement is beautiful! I always loved spring blooms after a long winter.
Thanks so much Penny!
Good Morning sweet friend. How was your Easter? Did the princesses find all the Easter eggs?
Your table adorned with the AC linen is just gorgeous. But your centerpiece of nature’s bounty is quite lovely. And it’s all right there on your amazing property!
I think I saw the Sunshine Cottage in the background… 💗
Thank you for your creative inspiration dear friend.
Happy Monday Pam!
The girls hunted Easter eggs all afternoon, we so enjoyed them. Thank you so much for your encouraging comments. Happy week to you!
What a beautiful outdoor arrangement. Really enjoyed seeing the snowballs used for a floral display. Mine are just starting to turn that brilliant white. Great idea.
Thanks so much Lynne. Aren’t snowball blooms beautiful?
Simply beautiful and flowers just amazing from your garden. It just speaks of Spring and renewal to me. Love your plate stack that is so beautiful with your flowers. Love the quote. Happy Monday morning!
Thanks so much Dianne. Wishing you a lovely week!
Good morning, Pam! Everything looks so absolutely stunning! Your flowers are gorgeous! I was in awe of your snowball bushes in yesterday’s post. We planted one last spring, but I don’t think ours will ever look like yours. The cherry blossoms and snowball blooms make such an eye catching combination. They look so lovely with your beautiful April Cornell tablecloth and pretty chintz china. It is always a treat to see the view of your lovely Appalachian foothills. Wishing you a most beautiful week, my dear friend!
This comment did go through!

Thank you Jenna. The week has started off beautifully!
Beautiful setting! Thank you so much for sharing. Your table cloth is a terrific foundation for your table.
Thanks so much. Have a lovely week!
Dear Pam, what a glorious table in such a magnificent spot. Honestly, I believe I could spend the day there. Your arrangement is stunning as is everything on your table. Thank you for your work to bring beauty to our lives. Also, Lynn Austin’s words were beautiful. Have a lovely day and week, my friend.
Thank you my friend! It was one of the easiest arrangements that I have put together. Happy week to you!
I love how you let the flowers arrange themselves. They’re perfect, as is the outdoor setting and that tablecloth. All so serendipitous! Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you so much! Happy Monday!
Pam, what a lovely scene. I really think this is one of the prettiest tables I have ever seen. Everything works together so well without matching too much or being too formal. What a lovely setting you have outdoors, and lucky you to have the flowers and flowering trees. Out here in the west, we don’t get to see much of that. Thanks for such a pretty Monday picture!
Melodie, thank you for you sweet comments. Wishing you a lovely week!
Pam, your picnic area is always a delightful spot. The snowball viburnums are spectacular. We lost all of our viburnums to the freeze this winter. It was just too cold for an extended amount of time. They are gone all over town. I need to research the snowball. I’ve never seen them grow here.
Your vase of blooms looks perfect in it’s natural state. Sometimes letting flowers fall were they may is the best way to arrange them. Beautiful choice of ring! for color and texture. Happy Spring!
Thank you so much Sarah. I am so sorry you lost all of your viburnums, gardening is always losses, fails, and successes! Happy Spring!
All of these blooms so early? Maybe not for you, but here that’s unbelievable! And gorgeous. Love your Cornell cloth, too!
Hi Jeanie. No this is the time they normally bloom. We did have three nights at the end of last week that dipped below freezing!
I LOVE your gardens and surrounding beauty of your flowers and mountain greenery….How glorious to wake up and not only breathe in the fresh country air but being able to watch your landscapes change. what a Blessing our Lord has given you and your family.
The abundance of snowballs on your tall, tall “trees” are so pretty.
I love when you set the picnic table, because of your backdrop, knowing we are in for a treat. The tablecloth is perfect as is your plate stack. I also like the play of light going in and out.
Picking the quote from Lynn Austin brought it all together and into prospective.
Thank you for sharing a piece of your world.
Hugs and Blessings always
Kari
Kari, your kindness and encouragement are a blessing. Hugs and blessing to you my friend!
Don’t like fixed flower arrangements. The free flowing arrangements are more beautiful and reflective of how they grow. You’re arrangement is beautiful.
Thanks so much, Alice! I hope you are seeing some signs of spring!
love how your table looks so full of spring1. i just looked. Our cherry weeping willow tree is finally in bloom
Thanks so much, Linda! I love cherry blossoms!
Pam, I love all the flowers and your table arrangement is simply breath taking. Your table always looks so pretty and very inviting. I really love that picnic table. You always amaze me with your decor. Hugs and blessings to you dear Pam. I pray that Butch is doing well too. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Oh! The glory of this area ! Those snowballs, they make my heart glad, they are beyond amazing Pam. Your farm is truly so beautiful, and your gift for setting your table with the flowers of spring adds to the beauty. It’s always an absolute blessing to join you, dear friend, for our special Monday Morning Blooms. Xo Lidy
Thanks so much, Lidy. Love sharing Monday Morning Blooms with you!
The viburnums really do make quite the show and you took full advantage of their blossoms in your arrangement of flowers. They look especially beautiful on the beautifully set picnic table. The whole setting couldn’t have been lovelier.
So absolutely beautiful Pam! I could look at these pictures all day and imagine myself there on your gorgeous farm! You always inspire me so much – I’m going to try once again to get my table to look more like yours! This makes my heart so happy. Thank you!!
You are a sweetheart. Thank you, Barbara!
