Happy Spring dear friends! We had a tease of spring earlier in the month, but the past few days have been cold in the South.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
I am joining twenty talented table stylists to bring you a Spring Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by my friend, Rita at Panoply. You will find links for beautiful tabletops at the bottom of this post.
The season of spring has many reasons for celebration in our family. All three of our grandchildren have spring birthdays, March, April, and May. My wonderful Renaissance Man turns a year older in April. With all of these sweet blessings, our greatest blessing is Easter!
Easter, like other holidays, encompasses a wide variety of things we would consider “blessings”. Bunnies, baskets, and brightly colored eggs bring excitement to children, and it’s a blessing to observe them laughing and running as they search for that prize egg. What about time with family and friends…have I mentioned good food? A truly great blessing at Easter is the springing forth of new life all around us as winter retreats and warmer, longer days arrive. We are most blessed by being able to celebrate the resurrection of Christ, being also the source of new life, yet new life that is eternal. The beauty of this spring will again give way to another autumn in a few months, but the significance of His empty tomb will never change!
We had some beautiful sunny days last week, but the temps were rather cool. I bundled up so I could set a table next to our woodlands!
Bunnies are very active around our home in the springtime. A couple of moss ones hopped onto the table. At least I don’t have to worry about them munching on the flowers!
A pastel yellow Prairie tablecloth by Rachel Ashwell is an ideal foundation for an Easter/Spring table. Whimsical bunny ears hold pink fringed napkins and woven placemats add a bit of texture. The Godinger iced tea glasses are from Horchow many years ago. The Rogers silver-plated flatware was a wedding gift.
The bright green grass is planted each autumn by RM. It stays green all winter and provides a beautiful carpet in early spring, a most lovely backdrop for a tablescape.
“Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in the books alone, but in every leaf in springtime.”
~Martin Luther
With frost predicted, I cut snowball viburnums, Bridal Wreath spirea, Pride of Mobile azaleas from our garden, and redbud branches from the woodlands. I stored them in RM’s workshop for a couple of nights and the blooms stayed fresh. They were arranged in a MacKenzie-Childs Flower Market canister for a sweet spring bouquet.
Each year at Christmas, my precious Daddy gives me money to buy whatever I might want. This year I bought two different sets of salad plates, sharing one set last week for Tea On Tuesdays. A set of cute bunny plates is part of the Rose Famille collection from Williams Sonoma. The set contains four salad plates of two designs, and I could not resist them!
The pair of mischievous bunnies are too cute!
The Rose Famille dinner plates were purchased last year with money gifted me by my Dad for Christmas. My 92 year old Daddy derives great pleasure when I show him what was purchased!
My adult play house, the Sunshine Cottage, is shown in the background. The granddaughters and I have spent countless hours reading, playing dolls, having tea parties, and even a few nights of sleep-overs on a blow up mattress (oh, my aching back)!
Late afternoon offers a scene of light and shadows dancing across the green carpet.
You can catch a glimpse of everyday living in the background of this photo! RM and our son were cleaning up after a dead tree removal. Of course, they needed to do it during my window of opportunity to photograph.
“There is an unexplainable stirring that occurs when winter finally exhibits the humility to completely bow out and relinquish all rights to spring!”
~ Butch Richardson

Pam, your garden is already lush and full of springtime pleasures. Dining alfresco in your garden is always a highlight for me. I’m in awe of the beauty of your property. I have some pieces of the Williams Sonoma Famille Rose series. Such exquisite designs. Your plates with the bunnies are adorable. Wishing you and your family a beautiful spring and Happy Easter.
Sarah, thank you. Spring has been unpredictable and my garden has slowed down. I am always hopeful!
Good Morning Pam! What a beautiful alfresco table set with your Famille Rose bunnie plates! I was just admiring them on WS’s site yesterday, telling myself I didn’t need any more bunny plates, but they are so tempting. Such sweet moss bunnies blending with RM’s beautiful winter rye grass. I love the shot of the tractor in the background!! 😊 Your spring bouquet of viburnum, redbud, azalea and spirea is beautiful. We had several hard freezes in the last two weeks, which nipped our spirea buds and burned our Endless Summer Hydrangeas. I’m hoping it was just the new leaves and not the buds on the hydrangeas or there won’t be any blooms until late summer instead of spring…sniff. Our viburnums weren’t as far as long as yours fortunately, so we should still see blooms. As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table. Happy Spring. ♥
Thank you, Mary. I just had to include the tractor photo 🤣
Pam I love your al fresco table and RM in the background is so perfect and natural and REAL. All the spring flowers are perfect with your Famille Rose bunny plates which are stunningly beautiful….and to know they are essentially a gift from your Dad makes them more special. And I especially love the Butch quote! Way to go RM. Happy Easter dear friend. He is Risen!!!!!!
Thank you, Kari! Amen, He is risen!!
Color my world with spring, Pam! Oh, how I love all the colors you’ve chosen here today. I kept waiting for the salad plate sourcing – another beautiful choice for you! – especially combined with your dinner plates and those flowers straight out of the garden & woods! One never knows what’s lurking in the woods, am I right?😉The Godinger iced tea stems are classic, as is the flatware. I just love that this tablescape is outdoors, even if it was nippy (it’s currently 26° and sunny as I write this comment, but finally warming up today and I declare spring for good!). Your choice of what I call ‘good words’ interspersed with your tablescape capture the essence of Easter so well. Pam, thank you for being part of this hop with me and sharing your beauty – always. Happy Spring!
Thank you, Rita. Yes, you never know what you might find in the woods. We love to forage!
Indeed we are greatly blessed to receive the blessing of eternal life because of our Saviors sacrifice on the cross. Easter is a blessed reminder for us.
Your table is gorgeous with your beautiful flowers, lovely china, silverware, goblets, napkins and most peaceful setting. The woodland setting with a carpet of green is a beautiful backdrop for your pretty table. The moss bunnies are darling accenting your spring bouquet from your yard. Your arrangement is my favorite kind so natural and fitting.
It was a treat to see your table this morning. You are a great table stylist and writer.
Bonnie, you are so sweet. Thank you so much!
Well, this is so pretty — the true essence of spring! I always love your table settings but those outside are among my favorites. And of course the flowers are wonderful, as are your bunnies! Happy Spring!
Thank you, Jeanie. Happy Spring!
Lovely outdoor setting, and as usual your flowers make the table gorgeous.
Thanks so much, Carole!
Oh goodness Pam, so many Spring birthdays do make Spring even more special for you! You were brave to set this beautiful table outside during our recent cold snap, and thank you, the woodland setting is so gorgeous! I love the way the sunlight dances over everything, and the moss bunnies are wonderful! Pink and green are so perfect for Spring, and the snowball flower arrangement with sprigs of pink azelea and white is so beautiful. Your special WS bunny plates are adorable and I love the way the crystal glasses sparkle in the light, there is beauty everywhere you look, even with the tractor, I love it all!
Jenna
Thank you, Jenna! I had to include the tractor photo, it made me laugh 🤣
I love visiting your inspiring posts Pam and spring is magical in your back yard. I love the green grass and woodlands for your backdrop to your setting. The plates and bunnies are sweetness and nothing represents spring more. It is cold here this morning but the temps are predicted to be warmer this afternoon and tomorrow. I love my visits to your lovely home………
Thank you, Emily. Your comments are so sweet. It was supposed to be sunny today, but is has been chilly and rainy!
Pam, it’s always a pleasure to see your outdoor settings with the woods in the background. You captured the light beautifully in your photos. The flowers are gorgeous and so nice that the florals came from your garden and woods. The bunny plates are precious. the moss bunnies are a nice addition to the table. Happy Birthday to all your family members.
Thanks so much! I love to set a table outdoors! Happy Spring💚
Pam, Your al fresco Spring table is gorgeous! Your new salad plates as well as your dinner plates are fabulous! I know your Daddy enjoys seeing how you spent your gift money. It makes him happy to see you happy. The bunnies on the plates are so cute! The floral centerpiece is so fresh and pretty. I always love the moss bunnies. They add a special touch to the table. I’m afraid our spring blooms are over due to the hard freeze. We were enjoying all the pretty colors and hoping they would last through Easter for pictures. I’m so glad you were able to get several pretty bouquets from your plants. They look great in the MC vase. The backdrop rye grass does look like a carpet. Your yellow tablecloth is so pretty and fresh looking. All the different pastel colors make such a beautiful tablescape. Great job! Clara ❤️
Thank you, Clara. I am so sorry the freeze impacted your blooms. Some of ours were also nipped. It seems to happen every spring.
Good morning Pam! Your opening thoughts were so well written, I greatly appreciated them. And Butch’s quote about winter relinquishing to spring is also beautiful. That lush rye grass makes an incredible backdrop for your lovely spring table. Isn’t it wonderful to be able to gather flowers from your own yard! All I have been able to do is watch helplessly while we had a hard freeze the last few nights. The new growth on my butterfly bushes and hydrangeas are toast, but the snowball bush, Lenten roses, and Carolina jessamine appear ok. Luckily, the azaleas haven’t bloomed yet. A dear friend gave me a David Austen rose in memory of Rosie, and its new growth still looks good thankfully. This has been a crazy crazy spring for sure!
Thank you, Roxanne. I am so sorry about your butterfly bushes and hydrangeas. What a special gift of a DA rose in memory of Rosie!
Pam, I enjoy reading about your dad and how he loves seeing what you purchase with the money he gives you. So sweet, and you’ve made some lovely choices, too. I love the colors in the plates! They are so pretty. I also love your centerpiece in the black flower market container. The outside setting is stunning. We have not been able to enjoy our outdoors yet, and I was a little disappointed I couldn’t set a table outside for this hop. However I can enjoy the beauty of yours! Most importantly, I appreciate how you share your faith with us because Easter and Christ’s sacrifice for us is the greatest blessing of all. Happy spring!
Ricki Jill, thank you for your most encouraging comments. They are much appreciated. Wishing you a blessed Easter!
It’s such a pleasure to see your tables returning to the beauty of your outdoor spaces. In every direction there is such beauty that make the table even more special.
Thank you, Linda!
Beautiful as always Pam! Love those gorgeous plates.
Thanks so much, Debbee. Happy Spring!
Pam, your thoughtfully arranged table is such a joyous celebration of Easter. I always enjoy visiting your beautiful garden setting–pinned! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction
Thank you, Cecilia!
Adorable table! Those stunning dishes made me swoon! Thank you for sharing your faith, very precious for me. Hugs dear Pam.
Thank you, Maristella. Hugs💚
Pam, you live in such a beautiful place. It is such a lovely backdrop for your spring table. Your flower arrangement is breathtaking! It belongs in Flower magazine. I have been wishing for those dishes for some time. I may have to break down and purchase them. (My family has been teasing me about how many dishes I own. I’m embarrassed to say how many plates my youngest has counted in the house.) Your entire table is gorgeous, and I have so enjoyed my visit on this spring day. My dear friend, I hope your spring is filled with lots of joy and blessings!
Thank you, Shannon. I am always saying, no more dishes! Happy Spring!
I enjoyed the elements of whimsy you added to the table — the darling bunny plates and the cute bunny ears! They brought a bit of lightheartedness to the lovely table and the spectacular wooded setting. I admire your dedication to tablescaping by setting one outside in this cold!
Thank you, Sandra. Happy Spring!
Your table is so pretty and glows with Spring and hits of Easter. Love the moss bunny. I hope your week is wonderful to you. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Thank you, Cindy. Happy Spring!
Pam, your table is so beautiful! How lovely to be able to set an alfresco table with that gorgeous green rye grass in the background (even if you had to bundle up). The Famille Rose plates are so pretty and the bunny plates are irresistible – what a lovely gift from your dad. I love all the soft pretty spring colors and I’m so glad you were able to cut the flowers before the frost got them. I hope you enjoy all your spring birthdays and wishing you a beautiful and blessed Easter! P.S. I love the tractor in the background lol.
Thank you, Kim. I just had to use the tractor photo. It made me laugh!
I am in love with all your new plates! Happy Afternoon with you Pam!
Your centerpiece full of springtime blooms along with the whimsical bunnies brings a smile to my face. And lets not forget your gorgeous gardens as the backdrop… breathtaking!
Happy Tuesday and Happy Spring!
Thank you, Nancy! Happy Spring 💚
Pam, I it will be a couple of months yet before we will be dining outdoors, but you have me feeling hopeful! Your woodlands are always such a lovely backdrop. I love the vibrant colours you have chosen. The plates you purchased with gifts from you dad are stunning. Your centrepieces are stunning, and how lucky to be able to cut them from your own garden.
Thank you, Maureen. Hopefully spring will come sooner rather than later!
Love your table! I just bought the Rose Famille salad plates and dessert plates for my Easter table setting. I’m pairing them with a green dinner plate. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you, Pamela. I know they will be beautiful with a green dinner plate!
What a beautiful and pretty pan colorful table. Love your plates just gorgeous. Have a beautiful week. Hugs. Kris
Thank you, Kris!
Those beautiful Rose Famille plates should bestow upon that wonderful man a sweet, sweet, sweet Daddy title…. and you know just how to set them to perfection, Pam dear….. what a glorious outdoor salute to Easter. What an inspirational and gifted expression by Butch, who has a particular sensitivity to the God-given and Butch/Pam augmented nature that surrounds you. I finally finished pouring over the entire collection of stunning table settings and if my smile says anything, it is, “you have all made my day.”, only topped by Martin Luther.
Thank you dear one! I hope you are doing well, Mary!
I really like the quote by Butch! And the flowers and plates are just so pretty! I loved having the time to sit down and catch up on your lovely posts tonight. May God bless you, sweet friend.
Blessings and thank you, Cheryl!
You outdid yourself with this table! The flowers are gorgeous! And the plates! I have a serious case of plate envy.

You are so kind, thank you Amalia!
Happy Birthday to the Spring babies. What a wonderful time to celebrate a birthday. Truly, it is a beautiful outdoor tablescape. I just love the lush green grass with the tranquil spots of sunshine. You are absolutely right, it does make for a stunning backdrop for your charming table. The beautiful plates from William Sonoma as a gift from your dad really pops against the elements of nature. They are elegant and playful at the same time. Certainly it is a treasure to keep for many Easters to come. How fortunate to be able to cut fresh flowers straight from your garden. (Wisconsin has still mounds of snow with more to come this weekend.) Your photos changed my mood entirely and uplifted my spirits for Spring. Have a wonderful blessed Easter with your family and bring on the birthday cakes too.
Thank you, Marsha. I hope Spring comes to Wisconsin sooner than later!
Oh my goodness, gracious Pam, this is just stunning!!! I love love love this whole post!! Every photograph is just breathtakingly beautiful! Pam, what a pleasure it always is to see how you have set another table in the garden! I have been eyeing the Famille rose plates at Williams Sonoma for quite some time now.
