Happy Tuesday dear friends! Spring has been gorgeous in our Foothills and thankfully, the worst of the pollen is over!
“But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:5 (ESV)
With glorious weather, the table next to the woodlands was perfect for teatime.
It is Tea on Tuesdays and Mary and I welcome our special guest, Kitty from Kitty’s Kozy Kitchen. She shares her joy of cooking and fabulous recipes on her blog!
The tea table is enhanced by views toward the mountain, woodlands, and the large Snowball Viburnum. RM’s winter rye grass appears as a green carpet that has been spread for Easter!
The vintage ‘Herb Garden’ teapot by Fitz and Floyd is one of my favorites! Bridal Wreath Spirea was placed around the teapot.
One might ask, “if you could use one word to describe the empty tomb discovered on that first Easter morning, what would it be?” Several words come to mind, but my first thought is…”Hope”!
I have several pieces of the ‘Herb Garden’ pattern. Each piece is embossed with bows, vegetables, and words. Why not have two teapots on the table?! The bunny teapot was too cute to leave on the shelf!
By now, you all know my favorite tea is Earl Grey. The lidded sugar and creamer are also the ‘Herb Garden’ pattern. You might notice two different teacups were used. I love to mix and not match! In case you happen to wonder, the teapot is missing the bridal wreath that at times so beautifully wraps around its base…oh the challenges of an outdoor tea on a windy day!
Egg salad is delicious and definitely appropriate for an Easter tea. Our son always has fresh eggs from his seven chickens that were all named by EM and EK: Polly…Cookie…Mary…Goldie…Daisy…Margaret…Annie! Have you ever eaten fresh eggs? There is a big difference from store bought. Phyllo cups were filled with egg salad for a savory bite. Vanilla cupcakes with cream cheese icing along with macarons were our sweets!
Sweet Peter Rabbit party picks were a gift from Mary. The grands love the Peter Rabbit stories and his friends: Jemima Puddle-duck,Tom Kitten, and Peter’s siblings Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cotton-tail!
“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?””
John 11:25-26 (ESV)
Very old egg cups and chalk eggs came from Cracker Barrel Country Store many years ago. I pull them out each year and love using them!
I couldn’t resist gathering a bouquet of Kwanzan Cherry blossoms while the tree was still in bloom. They are all gone now.
A set of four different ‘Pasture Bunny’ plates (discontinued) were from Pottery Barn a few years ago. I think rabbits are so cute as long as they don’t eat my flowers!
The ‘Cottage Rose’ tablecloth by April Cornell is ideal for spring! The platter that holds the pitcher of cherry blossoms is also ‘Herb Garden’ by Fitz and Floyd. My Renaissance Man bought all of the pieces plus a couple I didn’t place on the table in the 1990’s. I checked Replacements and the oval platter is available for $259.95. Wow, that is at least six or seven times what RM paid!
Pastel Easter egg napkin rings (also from Cracker Barrel) hold April Cornell ‘Essential’ napkins in pink!
An Easter egg table runner was placed over the tablecloth!
“There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again.”
~ Keith Getty and Stuart Townsend
We are most blessed by being able to celebrate the resurrection of Christ, being the source of new life, yet new life that is eternal. The beauty of this spring will again give way to another autumn in a few months, but the significance of His empty tomb will never change!

Good morning Pam, What a beautiful setting for tea and Easter! I love seeing the verdant carpet of Butch’s rye glass as backdrop and your stunning snowball viburnum in the background! So many details to drink in and admire…I think your Fitz and Floyd Herb Garden is my favorite of your teapots. It’s not Easter without deviled eggs or egg salad and I’ll help myself to a cupcake and macaron too! Love your egg table runner paired with your pretty floral AC tablecloth and all the sweet details from the napkin rings, egg cups, chalk eggs and sweet bunny plates. As always, it’s a treat to join you for tea. Wishing you and your family a glorious Holy Week! ✝️🐇🥚🌸💗
Thank you, Mary! I look forward to our monthly teatime. Wishing you a beautiful week ✝️
Good Morning, Pam. I am up early and will be happy to join you for tea. I am in love with your vintage ‘Herb Garden’ teapot by Fitz and Floyd, along with the Bunny Teapot. They are perfect for an outdoor tea party, especially for Easter. Your April Cornell tablecloth is a perfect addition. It’s fitting for an outdoor garden tea party. The garden flowers are gorgeous in the vase. So pretty!
I need to get to Cracker Barrel. What lovely napkin rings and egg cups you have from there!
Thank you so much for a lovely tea time. I enjoyed myself tremendously.
Happy Tuesday and Happy Holy Week!
Thank you, Nancy. I am so glad you enjoyed yourself. Wishing you a lovely week ✝️
Good morning, Pam! Oh how I love all your Fitz and Floyd pieces!! Your sweetheart was so gracious in buying you such pretty pieces. The April Cornell tablecloth is a springtime beauty as a backdrop for your tea and your lovely flowers. You’re the one that by your love of Earl Grey tea, that inspired me to give it a try again. Thank you for your beautiful and timely Bible verses that you shared. Happy Holy Week to you, also.
Kitty, I always enjoy when you share tea with us. I am so glad you tried Earl Grey again. Wishing you a blessed Holy Week ✝️
Isn’t this the prettiest Easter tea table? I hope you invited your favorite bunny fans to join you. Lovely teapot and adorable decorations throughout!
Thanks so much, Jeanie. My favorite bunnies always enjoy tea treats!
Love it all Pam. The bunny plates from Pottery barn are adorable. Love the Peter Rabbit picks. Fresh eggs are the best. We have a friend we get fresh eggs from his chickens and they do taste so much better than store bought. Have you tried Duck eggs. They are great for baking and I like to fry them. They have a softer taste than chicken eggs and are bigger. They make your baking so much more fluffy and good. Have a great Holy Week. Hugs. Kris
Thank you, Kris! I have tried duck eggs and they are delicious. Wishing you a blessed Holy Week ✝️
Oh that I could be at your table. Spring green is the most beautiful color and RM’s rye grass in the background is a feast for the eyes. And then the feast you have on your table is a delight to the eyes and stomach. Love the egg salad and expect is another way to use new beginnings. Naming the chickens is so sweet and I suspect they are pets. Earl Grey tea was my request at the Empress. Have a blessed Holy Week.
Alice, it would be a treat to have you join me. I am sure we could spend the day enjoying conversation and sipping tea. ✝️
Pam in response to your question of “if you could use one word to describe the empty tomb discovered on that first Easter morning, what would it be?” …my word would be “Redemption” although your word of Hope is also perfect. Thank you for your Bible verses that always remind and inspire us to not only be thankful for the sacrifice Jesus’ made but gives us the admonition of Matthew 28…and the ‘Great Commission’.
Your table is lovely among the beautiful rye grass and woodlands. Love the two teapots…why not have two? We had a ladies tea Saturday at church and over 120 ladies attended. There were so many different tea pots as the three courses required different teas . What fun we had in our hats and summer dresses.
The AC tablecloth with egg runner is also delightful to look at. Cracker Barrel has provided so many wonderful seasonal pieces for me over the years. I’m not sure they have such choices these days, but I don’t get to ours very often as it is so far away from our home.
Thank you for such an inspirational Spring table…I know the grands must love it. Blessings dear friend.
Thank you, Kari! Yes redemption was made possible through the death and resurrection of Christ, our Lord. Your ladies tea sounds perfect! Blessings to you my friend! ✝️
Your alfresco table is beautiful! The rye grass is a lovely backdrop. The Fitz and Floyd pieces are always a favorite. The herb garden and cute bunny are colorful and moody lifting! Your linens are so pretty. Your centerpiece is lovely! The food looks tasty and the bunny plates are adorable. Happy Easter! Clara❤️
Thank you, Clara. Your visits are always so appreciated. Easter Blessings ✝️💜
Pam, the table looks so lovely set outside against RM’s rye grass and the snowball viburnum. I’ll bet the cherry blossoms smelled heavenly while they lasted. your herb garden collection is wonderful and the AC tablecloth is so pretty. Egg salad with fresh eggs sounds absolutely delicious and the cupcakes and macarons look yummy. Wishing you and your family a glorious and blessed Easter!
Thanks Kim! I am happy you were able to comment after the glitches. Wishing you a blessed Easter ✝️💜
Such beauty and inspiration… How many treasures! Happy Easter my dear friends!
Thank you, Maristella ✝️💜
Pam, Easter tea in your beautiful setting is just the best. Love the Herb Garden teapot, and yes, why not a second teapot? The bunny is definitely too cute to leave on the shelf. Each of the F&F pieces in this set are stunners. The PB pasture bunny plates are each one adorable. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bunny plate that didn’t touch my heart. Did you see the cute pink ones World Market this season. The bunnies hop across the plate in mass. I was very tempted! Thanks for a delightful Tuesday Tea, Pam. Happy Easter to you and your family.
Thank you, Sarah! I also love bunny plates. I am glad I didn’t see the World Market plates, I might have been tempted. Easter blessings to you, my friend ✝️
Sigh…I enjoyed EVERY.SINGLE.THING. at tea with you today! Wishing you all a very Happy Easter…
Thank you, Sue for your sweet comments! ✝️
The one word that came to mind was “promise”… and know it will be a promise kept.
The tea offering is delicious, especially out of such charming serving pieces. The green
rye background just enhances the whole scene. A feast for the senses. How blessed we
are to have such beauty at our disposal, especially during this Holy Week. Savor it with
gratitude.
Thank you, dearest Mary! It has been a beautiful week and I do savor His blessings with gratitude, my friend ✝️
Everything just BEAUTIFUL! Easter Blessings. Enjoy the scriptures.
Such a colorful and spring Easter tea table, Pam! smSpring is my favorite season! Happy Easter week!
Pam, your table is a delight for the eyes. The ‘herb garden’ collection is darling and can understand why it is a favorite. AC always have lovely table linens. I wish they made larger sizes. Your snowball viburnum is gorgeous. Ours is smaller. The egg cups from Cracker Barrel are so cute. A lovely table to celebrate Easter.
Easter blessings to you and yours, Pam. I’m thinking that your sweet Daddy must have enjoyed many wonderful holiday meals at your place, with everything always so warm and beautiful and welcoming. I hope that even as you grieve, unexpected lovely memories will pop into your mind and bring just a bit of a smile.
I’m praying for you right now.
Pam, what a happy table with so many beautiful pieces to display! And that beautiful green grass in the background sets it all off. I bet you had plenty of volunteers to eat those delicious treats. You will have to tell EM and EK that Mickey had a hen named Jeanette who lived to 18! We are still getting pollen. I want to sit on my screen porch, but there is no use deep cleaning it until the pollen is done…ugh! Blessed Holy Week to your family. I got an excellent Lenten devotional at Synod that I am very much enjoying.
