Happy Tuesday! I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Mother’s Day! With Memorial Day just around the corner, Monday May 26th to be exact, I am sharing my love of the red, white, and blue!
“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”

Celebrating Summer With the Red, White, & Blue
In my opinion, there is nothing that speaks of summer better than the red, white, and blue!
Red, White and Blue For Memorial Day
Most of us think of Memorial Day as the beginning of summer!
An April Cornell floral breakfast square was paired with a navy bee cloth, blue and white dishware, flags, and sweet and savory treats for teatime in the garden!
Blue and white hydrangeas are the most common flowers that I use for patriotic floral arrangements!
Celebrating Independence Day With the Red, White, & Blue
You may have noticed that the same dishware, glasses, etc. have been used on many of these tables. By making a few changes with tablecloths and napkins, you have an entirely different look!
In Honor of the Red, White, and Blue
A seersucker plaid table square speaks of summers long ago! I remember many Southern men, including my sweet Daddy, wearing a blue and white seersucker jacket!
A bright red watering can filled with hydrangeas makes a delightful centerpiece. The vintage table square was a gift from my special friend, Patti. It has a nautical theme which works well for summer and the 4th of July!
Celebrating The Red, White, & Blue
This stunning quilt, stitched by my beloved Mother, was the inspiration for the picnic table set next to the woodlands. Of course, we would never eat on it, but it does offer a grand display!
With a view of the garden, this table continues to be a favorite!
The colors of our flag are well represented on my table for two! Thanks to RM, Sunshine Cottage was appropriately dressed!
Thank you for your visit and gracious comments. Wishing you a delightful week!Linking with: Pieced Pastimes, Between Naps on the Porch, Katherines Corner, Follow The Yellow Brick Home,

Three cheers for the red, white and blue Pam! A beautiful round up of tables…I have a hard time choosing a favorite, but I’m partial to your table with your mother’s beautiful quilt! Wishing you a wonderful week ahead. ❤️💙
Thanks so much, Mary. 💙❤️
❤️🤍💙
All so beautiful! What a fantastic roundup of Red, White, and Blue tables! All so lovely but I am with Mary. I love the table with your Mother’s quilt.
Happy Tuesday my friend.
Thank you, Nancy. Wishing you a lovely week 💙❤️
Just Beautiful and perfect for Memorial Day around the corner. Have a wonderful week.
Hugs. Kris
Thank you, Kris! Have a great week 💙❤️
Love the many flower arrangements but had to take a second look at the one with the sparklers shooting stars out the top. I
Must use that arrangement the 4th of July, also will try to round up the bunting for the porch, you give such fun ideas. Your mother’s quilt is beautiful, I think of how long it took her to cut those little squares and put them together. It’s precious and no I wouldn’t eat on it either.
Thank you, Alice for your sweet comments! I hope you had a wonderful visit with your daughter and your sister!
Iknow you’ll probably come up with something very different, but to be honest, any repeats of any one of these would make for a fantastic 2025 table! I just love those blue hydrangeas!
Thanks Jeanie for your sweet comments!
Oh Pam, your beloved Mother’s quilt is such a treasure!! I can see why it’s used for display only, and not to allow food on it. All your tables are so patriotic and inspirational. It’s hard to believe that Memorial Day is almost here.
Thanks Kitty for your sweet comments!
All of them are so beautiful and definitely represent summertime! I look forward to seeing what you do for this Memorial Day!
Thanks so much, Cheryl. Wishing you a blessed Wednesday!
Your posts are always a treat for the eyes and inspiration toward hospitality.
Thank you, Cindie! Happy Wednesday!
Pam I, too love your Mother’s quilt table but I am leaning to the Patriotic Patio table with the lovely view of your garden. All the tables are lovely in their own way….and you are right, there is something about the red, white and blue that stirs the heart. Blessings my friend. Hugs.
Thank you, Kari! Blessings to you, my friend!
How beautiful! Such inspiration! God bless you and yours. God bless America!
Thank you, Maristella and may God bless you, my friend!
Pam – Your tables and floral arrangements are always stunning. I think the patriotic ones are my favorite. So bold and colorful. Have a great Memorial Day! My hubby’s birthday falls on that day this year. He will be 71. How time flies.
Thanks so much, Lynda. I love the red. white, and blue! Happy early birthday to your husband!
Smashing and timeless!! Amazing how just switching a few elements can present a whole
new look…it takes a well honed eye and imagination to accomplish. Your beloved Mother’s
quilt never ceases to amaze…such delicate and accomplished skill. Family DNA….. Thank you
for the many bright ideas for the coming months.
Mary, you are always encouraging! This year is passing so swiftly, I cannot believe Memorial is less than two weeks away. Take care my friend!
These are all beautiful tables Pam – each and everyone of them! Your mother’s quilt is gorgeous and the seersucker tablecloth is so pretty. Love the blue and white hydrangeas and those blue speckled goblets are amazing. A wonderful round-up. Happy upcoming Memorial Day!
Thank you, Kim for your sweet comments and visits. Happy Weekend to you!
That quilt your mother made is beautiful! SO many tiny squares–I have to wonder how long it took to put it together. Sometime you’ll have to drape it over a chair or something so we can see more of her handiwork. I also wonder how you keep all your linens and tableware organized so you’re not pulling multiple items out of boxes to find what you need! 😁
Thank you, Nancy. I have many of my Mother’s hand-made quilts. I wish I was better organized, it is not one of my strong suits! Happy Weekend!
Pam, I delight in revisiting each of your patriotic tables. You and Mary have me eager to pull out my own red, white, and blue and set a table. I love the patriotic holidays of summer and honor the red, white, and blue Memorial Day through Labor Day. Seeing your beautiful alfresco table settings makes me smile. Your property offers the perfect setting for alfresco dining..
Thank you, Sarah! I love setting a patriotic table especially in the great outdoors. Wishing you a lovely weekend!
oh with all of life’s busyness i’ve forgotten about Memorial Day’s red, white, and blue! the Sunshine Cottage always glows with life and beauty, hospitality and welcome.
happy weekend to you and yours, friend.
xo
Thanks so much, Linda! Happy Sunday!
I enjoyed this post Pam. I’m a bit behind on responding since we’ve had a lot going on that we didn’t expect. Of course, that’s life for everyone it seems. Your Memorial tables are all gorgeous. I love the vintage ocean tablecloth and your Mom’s quilt. Your AC tablecloths are always eye catching. Your hydrangeas are beautiful. We’re going to have quite a few blooms this year thank goodness. Your blue speckled glasses are always a favorite! I read recently that blue and white is having a moment again. I guess the trends finally caught up to our tastes 😂 Have a great day!
Thank you, Clara. I hope all is ok. I am so glad your hydrangeas are showing that blooms will be coming ❤️🤍💙
Pam, I’m always amazed at your tables and also how beautiful the photography is! These tables are all so stunning. I’m happy to tell you I’ll be featuring this post at Thursday Favorite things today. 🙂
Thank you, Pam for your sweet comments and for the feature! Happy Memorial Day!
