Happy Monday dear friends! Can you believe it is March already?
“He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.”
Matthew 28:6 ESV
Spring officially begins on March 20th, but meteorological spring began yesterday. In our Appalachian Foothills of Northeast Alabama there are already many signs of the season!
It is the March edition of Monday Morning Blooms with my friends and our theme is Easter. More than a month away, Easter will occur on April 5th this year. You will find the links for Lidy and Mary at the bottom of this post.
I was hoping to be outside next to our woodlands, but after two inches of rain on Thursday, my plans changed. Our local grocery stores have not received the memo to switch to spring flowers. I walked into one store and it still looked like Valentine’s. My RM had an appointment in Birmingham on Thursday and we stopped by Trader Joe’s where spring flowers were in abundance! It seemed they had every color of tulip imaginable. I chose pink tulips, purple hyacinths, and ornamental chamomile to complement one of my favorite April Cornell tablecloths. Daffodils have been blooming in our cottage garden for a couple of weeks and they were the perfect addition to the store bought flowers.
While setting the Easter table, I was thinking of all things spring. New leaves, new buds, new blooms, bees buzzing, birds building nests, and many other creatures out and about. Being encompassed by new life, my thoughts went beyond the creation to the Creator, as I was reminded of the true significance of Easter, and the spiritual new life that can only be found in Christ…The Promise of Easter!
Moss bunnies were excited to come out and play after being cooped up all winter and ‘Pasture Bunny’ salad plates also joined in the fun!
“Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime.”
~Martin Luther
There are four different pasture bunnies depicted on the plates that were purchased several years ago at Pottery Barn.
Whimsical bunny ear napkin rings add more playfulness to the table!
The table was set with my sweet granddaughters in mind. EM and EK both love a table that is decorated for any occasion!
Majolica dinner plates and Famille Rose salad plates highlight the sweet bunny plates!
I enjoy sharing something special on each table I set that has a memory attached! The etched Fostoria iced tea glasses were a gift from a precious lady that was a friend of my beloved Mother! She was a widow, with no children, and was herself an only child. Her closest living relative was a first cousin. She had a lifetime collection of beautiful things that she gave away. I also have a gorgeous fan quilt that Aunt Louise (as she was called) gave me. Maybe I will share it on a table one day!
In a couple of weeks, as the sun moves to the north, the dancing shadows will disappear across the table!
“There in the ground His body lay;
Light of the world by darkness slain.
Then bursting forth in glorious day,
up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory,
Sins’s curse has lost its grip on me;
For I am His and He is mine,
bought with the precious blood of Christ.
~ Keith Getty and Keith Townend
Rabbits usually appear in springtime in and around our garden. Of course, they can wreak havoc on flowers. These cute ones on the plates are harmless!
“I never wanted to be placed in the lost and found until I learned of Jesus”
~ Butch Richardson
Our oldest granddaughter liked this bunny pose the best!

Thank you for your visit and gracious comments. As we prepare for the Easter season, may we realize that we would all be bound forever in hopelessness, facing the enemy known as death and with no remedy without the resurrection of Jesus Christ. But…He is alive and there is hope!

Good morning Pam, I love your pretty combination of spring blooms from the tulips, hyacinths and chamomile. Your moss bunnies and ‘Pasture Bunny’ salad plates make for such a festive setting for Easter framed with your Majolica dinner plates and Famille Rose salad plates in your Sunshine Cottage. I love your whimsical bunny ear napkin rings and the delicate etched Fostoria stems too. As always, it’s a treat to share blooms with you. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead and Happy March! 🌷🐇🩷
Thanks so much Mary. I can’t wait for the ground to warm up so we can plant seeds💚
Oh, Pam, I so enjoyed opening your post to this riot of color and patterns in your Sunshine Cottage! My grocery was much like yours, stick stuck in February, not even having any greens to choose from. The daffs and chamomile with purple hyacinths are beautiful, and that last photo outside gorgeous! The table elements are so sweet, and I also love creating tables my J will love and dote over. What a welcome sight this is today!
Thank you Rita. You know I am a big fan of color. Isn’t being a grandmother the best that we even set tables with them in mind?!
84 Springs are never enough as it’s my favorite time of year. Color is everywhere as it should be. Up from the grave He arose giving us hope. The verses you gave us this morning attest to that. Your AC tablecloth is a favorite. The plate stack with the bunny plates from Pottery Barn would jump in my cart if I had seen them . The Fostoria is a beautiful addition. Setting a table with memory makes it more beautiful to me.
Thank you dearest Alice! What a blessing to experience 84 springs, and I wish you many more to enjoy. Amen, He arose and we know that He lives and that gives us hope 💕
Beautiful bouquet, and I love the moss bunnies!
Thanks Carole!
Pam, your spring arrangement is a gorgeous! I love those colors! I have a vintage tablecloth that I use every spring that has these colors in it. The pattern has daffodils and tulips and hyacinths. I found it at Stein Mart years ago. Isn’t it amazing how the spring colors just lift your spirits? Your table is so inviting. Your bunny plates are adorable! The plate stack is really pretty along with the bunny ear napkin rings. Your Fostoria glasses perfectly complement the table as does your AC tablecloth. Your moss bunnies complete the look. I know the girls will enjoy this lovely Spring table. I certainly enjoyed it! Have a wonderful week! Clara❤️
Your tablecloth sounds beautiful. Wasn’t Stein Mart a terrific store. I bought so many pretty clothes there and also home accessories. Happy March Clara 💕🤓
Oh my gosh those pottery barn plates are adorable. Love those sweet bunnies. In the one photo where the sun is streaming through to your table with the bunny and flowers is so pretty. Enjoy that beautiful weather. Gives us all hope that Spring will be coming soon. Hugs. Kris
Thank you Kris. Yes, spring will come in all of its glorious colors!
Good morning dearest Pam, your spring flowers and table setting are dazzling with the light dancing across them. My closest Trader Joe’s is an hour away too or I would be there every week for flowers. You found some glorious blooms for sure. It still looks like winter here, but there are signs of spring everywhere. The air was full of birds singing this morning, and I can’t keep my feeders full. Lent is a somber season, but the promise of eternal life lies at the end. Hoping you have a peaceful week full of good things.
Thank you Roxanne! I love a mix of color and patterns! Amen to eternal life!
Oh my, Pam!!!! The glorious colors of those gathered blooms!! The bunnies on the plates!! I hadn’t even thought of decorating for spring, but that’s exactly what my exhausted winter soul is craving.
Thank you for that nudge forward, friend! Today’s the day!
I am happy you got the nudge to decorate for spring! Enjoy the process, Linda!
Good morning, Pam! All of us sure do need Spring Colors! And you did not disappoint us this lovely March Morning. Your spring centerpiece of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, and sweet chamomile is a delight to my eyes. Thank you. Then you added such cute bunnies! On your plates and the moss ones too. You and the girls will enjoy sitting at this table in the Sunshine Cottage. I am sure they will have pretty dresses to match, how fun and lovely that will be.
I also want to thank you for the beautiful quotes, Bible verses, and the hope that Christ Jesus brings us with his resurrection.
Happy March!
🌺🌼🌸🪻🌷
Thank you, Nancy. I think we both agree that we love color! The girls love a reason to dress up and have a party with PJ. Our hope is built on His resurrection 💚
Amen! 🙏
Pam, what a spring filled joy your table is! Oh, those spring flowers! Beautiful! Your layered table would delight anyone, it’s no wonder your little people love any table their Grammie sets.💕The April Cornell tablecloth is so charming, and your plate stack with the top bunny plates enchanting. The goblets are precious, and talk about the ability to capture sweet memories of those long gone- it’s sweet to pass along special things to others to use in their own homes. Happy March, friend. Lidy
Thank you Lidy. My grands do love an occasion to sit at a colorful table 💚🐰
Yes! We would surely be lost without an ounce of hope without dear Jesus! What an awful cost He paid for our redemption! I will forever praise Him for all He has done. The flower arrangement is absolutely gorgeous and so springy! I can’t believe how fast 2026 is flying by. My family and I were just discussing this last night and saying how it feels like we just had Christmas. Now, winter is nearly gone, and we are almost into spring. It seems like the Lord is speeding up time. Mom used to tell me she wondered if He is doing that to hasten His coming. I am so ready for Him to come back! This world gets darker every day, but because of Him, we have eternal hope!
Amen Cheryl! Thank you for your visit!
Pam, opening your posts from the Sunshine Cottage thrill each and every time. The sun kissed scenes are the best! Love the beautiful spring blooms, and the final photo of the blooms against the backdrop of your beautiful property is totally fabulous. You should print up some cards with that image.
Thanks for the inspiration. My own fluffle of bunnies are beginnig to make an appearance, not that bunnies don’t actually rule here year round. Happy Month of March!
Thank you Sarah. I need the push to print up some cards from our photos! Enjoy your week my friend!
What a beautiful reminder of the beauty of spring and all we have to be thankful for.
Thanks so much, Nonie. We have more than enough to be forever thankful!
I’m so happy that you found beautiful flowers at Trader Joe’s, Pam, and your daffodils add such a cheery presence to the container. chamomile is one of my favorite fillers as they add a delicate touch. Your bunny plates are so pretty and Aunt Louise’s etched stemware add a lovely memory. Of course, your dappled light is one of my favorites to view. Thanks for sharing the beauty with us.
Thank you Kitty for your sweet comments. If only Trader Joe’s was not an hour away!
A delightful setting Pam & your floral arrangement is beautiful.
Blessings sweet friend, Jennifer
Thank you sweet friend!
What a beautiful table Pam…I love the dancing shadows and will miss them as the season’s change. Your bouquet is a burst of lovely colors that scream Spring. Hip Hip Hooray for Trader Joes!!!!. I adore the pasture bunnies on the salad plates, paired with the Majolica and Famille Rose plates making your table a delight, not only to your sweet grands but to all of us as well. The moss bunnies are a great addition on your AC tablecloth. And the lovely etched Fostoria iced tea glasses from ‘Aunt Louise’ are perfect. Thank you for another of your ‘memories’.
I also love your scripture and quotes…
He IS Risen….Praise God!…. and He is coming again to receive us unto Himself. Then we will be caught up together with Him in the clouds,…. and so we will always be with the Lord.
Hugs my sweet Sister in Christ.🙏🏻❤️
Thank you, Kari! I love setting a table with my grandchildren in mind and I love sharing memories of collectibles that have been passed to me. I can’t share an Easter table without sharing why there is Easter. He is risen and He will return!
Two inches of rain? Yikes! That’s a little lake! Well, it didn’t keep your color down — and how I love that. Those springy flowers are just fantastic, but what really makes me heart sing are all your bunnies. The plates are fantastic and the mossy buns are perfect. What a delightful spot!
Thanks Jeanie. I love color and I also enjoy the moss bunnies. They behave very well!
Pam, such a lovely post… The scripture verses and quotes do bring hope! (I like Butch’s!!!) Jesus is the Great Hope, is he not? The flowers you found are stunning and the bunny plates are sweet. Glad your granddaughters enjoy them! I almost picked up some fuzzy bunnies like yours recently. They sure are cute. 🙂
I read Butch’s post from Sunday but hadn’t yet commented (read on my phone; I am on my computer now). The sunsets are really beautiful and it was filled with hope, too. Thank you both for sharing God’s light in these troubled times. <3
Blessings & hugs,
Barb 🙂
Pam, you tablescapes have inspired me to start my spring decorating! I’m a big lover of rabbit decor this time of the year and bringing out the bunnies makes it so fun!!
Stunning flowers arrangement! Unique! Gorgeous Fostoria glasses, how precious. Adorable bunnies in everywhere! Thank you for such beauty and inspiration. Great Bible verses. Happy March, dearest Pam!
That bouquet centerpiece sure says SPRING, with the daffodils, tulips, daisies, and hyacinths. Such a lovely combination. On this gray, foggy day here in the Ohio River Valley, your photos especially made me smile! Thank you, Pam! (Another few weeks until the daffodils begin to appear here.)
Your bouquet is beautiful and the perfect compliment to the AC tablecloth. The bunny plates are adorable and can see why your grans would delight in them. The etched glasses totally stopped my scroll. What a great gift and legacy. It’s all lovely. Thanks for sharing. XO- MaryJo
Pam, how did I miss this post? Such a beautiful bouquet to welcome spring. Gotta love AC tablecloths. The bunnies are so sweet and adds some whimsy. Your Aunt Louise’s etched stemware are gorgeous.
