Song of Solomon 8:7
Hello dear friends. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. It is the perfect time to share a delicious meal and a lovely table with those you love! More than twenty table stylists are sharing their Valentine’s tablescapes today. If you have come here from my friend, Mary at Home Is Where The Boat Is, welcome to Everyday Living.
A special thank you to our hostess, Chloe at Celebrate & Decorate.
Renaissance Man and I always eat at home on Valentine’s Day…it is a perfect time to invite another couple for dinner! Or perhaps someone who is single or a widow who could feel all alone and left out for Valentine’s Day.
The red velvet heart with a little gold crown complements the box of red, white, and pink flowers.
All the links are provided at the bottom of this post. Rather than a full week of tablescapes, they are all posted today for your reading pleasure!
My romantic plate stack…distressed wood chargers with blush pink dinner plates, camellia salad plates, and antique bread plates for a soft and feminine table.
I used gold flatware to complement the gold on the dinner and salad plates.
I had in mind a soft pastel floral runner, but not too spring-like. Of course I couldn’t find one, but wrapping paper came in handy. Tip: Think outside of the box!
A white sheer napkin and a soft pink one are tied with white and pink ribbons.
The iridescent wine glasses jumped off the shelf into my cart while shopping at TJ Maxx! Do you have that problem while shopping?
“There is no charm equal to tenderness of heart.”

Vanilla cupcakes with buttercream icing made by my daughter-in-love. They are amazing and her buttercream icing is the best!
“So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:13
You can see how I used the same box of flowers for Monday Morning Blooms.

Swoon Pam! I L-O-V-E your plate stack with your pretty-in-pink dinner plates, camellia and antique bread plates. Your iridescent wine glasses are perfectly paired with your table. You are so clever to use that pretty wrapping paper for a runner, I would have never guessed it wasn’t fabric and it’s perfect with your distressed chargers! Cupcakes are a delivery vehicle for frosting in my book (I could skip the cake and eat the frosting :). They look so pretty and delicious too, like edible blooms framed by your plates. As always it’s a pleasure to blog hop with you. Happy Tuesday. ♥
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Mary, the frosting is so delish❤️
Bonnie Morgan says
Pam, I am tickled pink with your soft feminine table! I love your camellia salad plates and reticulated bread plates and the iridescent glasses add the perfect sparkle. The floral runner from wrapping paper was ingenious! It adds a delightful touch and the distressed chargers are a great complementary accent.
So many sweet details but the velvet heart is so elegant in front of your pretty floral centerpiece.
Sure wish I could eat one of your cupcakes with my coffee this morning!❤️
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Bonnie. I would love to share coffee and cupcakes ❤️
Rita C. says
You had me doing a double take on this table, Pam! I thought you’d replaced your traditional table with a farmhouse one – that wrapping paper was genius! You make such great tables, and with such apparent ease. I really love how you put this together, and those iridescent stems are lovely. I have a set from the early 20th C or I’d be out scouting. 😉 Love the pink ruffled napkins too. Yours & Butch’s tradition of a meal in sounds wonderful, given the crowds, and your idea of inviting a widow or other couple is admirable. Happy February!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Rita. At $1.99 per roll it was a no brainer when I couldn’t find anything that I liked. I do want to replace my English-style table with a French one. I don’t think I can do farmhouse. I just read that traditional is making a huge comeback in 2020. It never went out for me, it is timeless.
Rita C. says
I agree with you – traditional is timeless, and brown furniture is definitely making the comeback it so deserves!!
marmeladegypsy says
You know I love EVERYTHING here because I always adore your tablescapes. But what popped out to me super-fast was how much I adore your tablerunner. Wrapping paper? You’re kidding! I love that pattern — it’s just wonderful! Rick always makes dinner for me on Valentine’s Day. I need to get to work on his project for this year! (And yes, I have that jump-out-of-shelf issue at Home Goods.)
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Jeanie. At $1.99 a roll, wrapping paper is the cheapest way to have a table runner. Happy Valentine’s Day to you and Rick!
Nancy says
Oh, oh, oh! I am loving your plate stack! Feminine, romantic and exquisite all wrapped in one! And speaking of wrapping paper… what a fabulous idea! Way to go girlfriend!
Such a lovely table for you and Butch! We have a lovely meal in as well. And we are going to try to take our Jeep up to the top of our favorite mountain and watch the sunset!
Enjoy your week sweet Pam!
I am off to see all the others! What a fun morning until I need to go to Cardio Dance. 😊
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you my friend. A tablescaping girl has to stop and punt occasionally…wrapping paper and all. Watching the sunset on your favorite mountain is so romantic. Will there be champagne and chocolate? ❤️
Nancy says
Perhaps wine, strawberries and cheese.
But it has to be warmer then today! It’s cold here today. 50 degrees and windy but the sun is shining brightly!
Hugs!
CoziNest says
Pam, your table is so inviting! And what a lovely idea to use wrapping paper as a runner. Your dishes are so pretty, I’d love to use them for St. Pats Day, too! Green and pink are so pretty together!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much for visiting. I agree green and pink are winners together!
Sandra at Maison De Jardin says
Pam, your table is stunning. You are such a creative soul – wrapping paper – amazing. Many years ago, Mike and I made the decision to stay home on Valentine’s Day and it has been a good one. Wishing you a happy February with lovely celebrations. ❤
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Sandra. We don’t enjoy all the noise and waiting at restaurants. Happy Tuesday ❤️
the Painted Apron says
I am crazy about your wrapping paper runner Pam!! At first I thought, wait, what, she got a new table?!?! The distressed wood looks so real!! Your beautiful centerpiece from MMBlooms is so perfect with your wonderful floral topped plate stacks. The puffy red velvet crowned heart is sooo cute! Enjoy your romantic anniversary month! ❤️
Jenna
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Jenna. At $1.99 per roll, it is a cheap fill-in when you can’t find what you are looking for. Happy Tuesday ☔️☔️☔️

Pam, such a gorgeous table to celebrate Valentine’s Day! Your pretty china has me swooning, and the gift wrap table runner compliments your beautiful centerpiece perfectly! I’m going to remember that tip! Everything looks stunning, sweet friend!!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you sweet friend. Wishing you a lovely day!
Patti Fralix says
Pam, your Valentine’s table is so pretty, with pink and green as a perfect color pallet. I agree with all of the other comments, and will not repeat them, but offer a couple that are not (I don’t think, at least) mentioned. I love the conversation hearts; what a great idea! That idea can be used for any occasion by just changing the hearts to other symbols with season specific sayings. I plan to watch for those! And the pink and green color pallet makes your wall color “pop.” Have a wonderful Valentine’s Day.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you my friend. Wish we could share a Valentine’s Day meal with you and Mike ❤️
Clara says
Pam, Your gift paper is a perfect runner! It looks like cloth in the pictures. Your table is gorgeous with the soft pink hues. I love your plate stack & of course your velvet heart! A seat at your table would be most enjoyable. Your MMB arrangement is so pretty as a centerpiece. Happy Tuesday sweet friend ❣️ Clara ♥️
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Clara. Wishing you a wonderful Tuesday ❤️

So it’s a paper table runner … I can’t believe it … It’s great !!!
Very beautiful table, original, sentimental, loving … A perfect job.

Amor y abrazos ❤️

Debbee says
Pam, I had the same reaction as Rita — I thought you had set the table on a hand painted, wooden table! Never, ever would have guessed the runner was wrapping paper — genius! I’ve got to tuck that tip in my brain someplace where I can find it again, LOL! I love paper products and wrapping gifts, so I’ll have to check what’s in my stash. A great way to create a new look for tableware you already have. And, an inexpensive way to set a lovely table.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks Debbee, it is a pleasure blog hopping with you!
Cheryl says
Your daughter-in-love’s cupcakes are SO pretty! I love how she piped the frosting and sprinkled the pink sugar on top! So, so pretty! It was so nice to spend some time with you here today! God bless you all!

Wow Pam that floral wrapping paper couldn’t have been anymore perfect! I thought it was a hand painted table! Of course I love the dishes and the pretty stemware. Something about crystal and flowers is so romantic! Those cupcakes look and sound divine! Love the floral box you created- it’s lovely!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Liz.❤️

The table runner is the first thing I was drawn to and it’s so right for this table. The stack is very dainty and the red velvet heart sends this table over the top. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks so much Sandra ❤️
Marsha says
Pam, way to go……a wrapping paper runner. Awesome! It works beautifully and it doesn’t even look that it is paper. The vintage plates are so lovely. You know, I have the same exact problem at TJ Maxx with items just jumping off the shelf into my basket. I don’t think the “doctors” will ever find a remedy for this, so I guess we will just need to be in the same support group. (Way to go….the wine glasses are stunning and are a great find!) The cupcake does look so delicious. I also enjoy your quoted sayings. So sweet. It is always a pleasure to blog hop with you. Have a great Valentine’s Day.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much Marsha. We might need a support group for sure 🥰

I am with everyone else!! I was drawn to what I thought was your tablecloth right away, I though how beautiful and hoped to find out where you bought it!!! So surprised when you revealed that it was wrapping paper!!! It makes such a great runner. I really like the juxtaposition of your gorgeous, delicate plates with the wood chargers and the wood planked runner, then topped off with your fabulous flower box, all so very pretty. Have a lovely Valentines Day💕

Great inspiration because last year, we were so disappointed with the overcrowded, underwhelming restaurant experience on Valentine’s Day, we swore we’d never go out on that night again. It’s up to me to set a perfect table now, so you are an inspiration!

I have no doubt you will set the perfect table Leslie Anne!

What a lovefest we are feasting on today…The table runner is a stroke of genius…it looked like

are a mine of inspiration…I have my treats in readiness and would gladly put in an order for Daughter-in-Love’s delicious cupcakes..so pretty. A day of NO calorie counting…just relishing. Now to try to replicate the simplicity and elegance of your Valentine setting…. I have first dibs on the crowned heart…May your day be filled with love to the brim, then overflowing dear one.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Hi Mary, thanks so much for your sweet words. I must say my darling daughter-in-love is a fabulous baker, from cakes to biscuits! I also love the petite crowned heart, I would have bought a larger one, but they were a little too pricey! Rain all day and possible storms and a few tornadoes tonight.

Pam, you sure fooled us with the tabletopper! You are such a creative person! I love the plate stack, such beautiful pieces. I saw the comments above about brown furniture and had just read the great Mario Buatta lamented young people not appreciating high quality, heirloom “brown furniture “; just before his death he predicted it would be making a big comeback. It has never been “out” in my little world!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Roxanne. I still love my brown furniture ♥️
