Easter In The Country

Hello sweet friends. We are already half way through the month of March and can you believe that spring will arrive in five days?! The seasons seem to pass so quickly, but I am excited to welcome spring!

Last week we experienced beautiful spring weather with cool nights and several frosty mornings. But our days warmed into the seventies which was perfect for setting the picnic table for an Easter edition of Monday Morning Blooms with my blogging friends!

Crossvine is a native climbing vine that produces gorgeous trumpet shaped flowers. This vine is wild and near our house but many nurseries and garden centers are now selling cultivars. The common name is derived from the cross-like shape of the pith seen when the the vine is cut and viewed in cross-section! READ MORE

Hello sweet friends. We have enjoyed a gorgeous spring week gardening and catching up on outdoor chores. With Easter weekend approaching, we see the beauty of new life all around our Appalachian Foothills. Evidence is everywhere but nothing rivals the beauty of our flowering cherry tree when it makes its debut!
