Coffee Table Talk: It’s Fall Y’all!

“The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:4‬

Saturday was one of those days…you know – dreary and cloudy with nasty rain.  It could’ve been a perfect day to cuddle up on the couch with one of my new books, but instead, I thought it would be a good day for a project… a new coffee tablescape!  I can’t believe it’s already November…only a few weeks before I will need to change it for Christmas!  But I’m a big believer in being in the moment, so let’s enjoy Fall y’all!

Once again, shopped my house…

…pheasant feathers in a vintage and tarnished silver sugar bowl and an artisan handcrafted bowl from Kentucky!  You can see more from our trip to Berea, Kentucky here.

Mini gold pumpkin is a great smelling candle but unfortunately, with my allergies, sneezing ensues!

A terrarium of velvet pumpkins and pods!

Who doesn’t love hot chocolate on a cool and rainy day?

Fitz and Floyd pheasants (salt and pepper shakers) on antique leather books!

Warm autumnal colors for November!

Notice the bark on the rim of the bowl…isn’t that unique?

A vintage tole tray holds some of the collection!  This girl loves leopard even on the floor!

Do you enjoy rainy day projects like this one?  I would love to know what seasonal changes you are making in your home!

  1. Your fall coffee table is striking. I love the velvet pumpkins in the chippy terrarium. All your unique pieces make an interesting focal point.
Rainy days either spur me to bake, blog or read all afternoon. You got creative!

  2. Kim says:

It’s lovely! After seeing your distressed terrarium, I’m inspired to give mine a more aged look. Thanks for the inspiration, and yes, hot chocolate sounds perfect! 🙂

  3. Rhonda says:

Beautifully done! Love the terrarium! I have a round coffee table, too, and sometimes it can be a little tricky to stage! You did a wonderful job! 🙂 ~Rhonda

  4. Jaybird says:

Oh my……I NEED to know more about the rug….It is beautiful!!!!
Your table looks lovely and the dish is a perfect touch!

    • Thanks so much for your sweet comments! I have always loved leopard and I ordered the rug 13 years ago from market and don’t remember much else, except I still love it! Blessings, Pam

  5. Stacey says:

This is just beautiful, Pam! That rug caught my eye right off the bat. Gotta have a little bit of leopard in a room. You did a great job on the coffee table.

  6. Jann Olson says:

Beautiful Pam! I too want to enjoy Thanksgiving before busting out the Christmas. Love the fall colors and the velvet pumpkins in the terrarium is my favorite! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

  7. I have a round coffee table in our living room and was drawn to your post when I saw yours. You did a great job decorating. I really like the Fitz and Floyd pheasants. So smart to use what is around your house including salt and pepper shakers! I always shop my home. Visiting from Share Your Cup. Stop by and visit me if you have a chance.
Blessings from Lynda at Still Woods Farmhouse
