Spring officially begins on March 20th, but its splendor is already evident in our Appalachian Foothills!
“The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.”
Song of Solomon 2:12 (ESV)
The bunny couple are dressed in fashionable spring attire and holding their signs to welcome their favorite season! I am excited to join 15 talented table stylists for a Spring Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by my friend, Rita from Panoply. You will find all of the links for creative tabletops at the bottom of this post.
Who doesn’t love an easy centerpiece? The ‘Pansy Parade’ Fitz and Floyd bunny could not have been happier when the bookcase door opened and she hopped out! She was most excited when she realized she would have a starring role on my spring table! The bunny was nestled in moss to keep her secure. The lovely wooden bowl was a Mother’s Day gift last year from our son. He and WL personally shopped for this present which makes the gift special and it is now in my memory-attached treasured pieces.
The splendor of spring was in plain view last week when I decided to move everything from the dining table to the picnic table next to the woodlands. It was a partly sunny, breezy, 80 degree day…much too beautiful to be indoors!
“There is an unexplainable stirring that occurs when winter finally exhibits the humility to completely bow out and relinquish all rights to spring!”
~ Butch Richardson
This adorable bunny was made by my beloved Mother and is lovingly displayed during the spring season!
RM sows rye grass in early fall and it stays green all winter and throughout spring until our temperatures become too hot. It makes a beautiful green carpet during March and April!
Spring offers many opportunities for celebrations. Not only do we love the passing of winter, but three of our four grandchildren have spring birthdays…March, April, and May! My RM will turn a year older in April. Mother’s Day is another special spring day for our family! With all of these precious blessings, our greatest blessing is Easter! Easter is a time for family, friends, food, and a springing forth of new life all around us. We celebrate the resurrection of Christ, new life that is eternal. The beauty of spring will again give way to another autumn in a few months, but the significance of His empty tomb will never change!
The whimsical flower crown bunny napkins by Mary Lake-Thompson came from my favorite local gift shop! Marbelized chalk eggs and egg cups were found at Cracker Barrel’s gift shop more than twenty years ago. Readers have asked me, what are chalk eggs? All I know is that they feel and look like chalk and I still have the boxes they were packaged in and labels plainly say chalk eggs!
Famille Rose dinner plates and salad plates, Noritake Reverie stemware, and brushed gold flatware are always a good choice for a spring or Easter table!
The pink and white checked tablecloth is a favorite for our Easter table, but it is a pain to iron!
The sweet bunny was a gift many years ago from one of my dearest friend’s granddaughter! The granddaughter lives in Sweden and is now married. I always think of her and what a darling child she was when I unwrap the rabbit.
Most of you know we live in the country on quite a few acres of land. What you see in the background is a pole barn that houses RM’s tractor, ATV, fertilize spreader, garden tiller, etc. Pole barns and country living seem to go together! When the trees leaf out, the pole barn is less visible.
The Williams Sonoma ‘Famille Rose’ bunny plates came in a boxed set of four…
two green…
…and two pink.
“It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold, when it is summer in the light and winter in the shade.”
~ Charles Dickens
A couple of flasks from The Paris Market in Savannah, Georgia hold blooms from our Japanese Magnolia tree. I have fond memories of spending time at The Paris Market shopping for antiques, sitting in their cafe drinking cappuccinos, eating fresh-baked pastries, and especially their fabulous macarons. The cafe has been called “The Most Beautiful Coffee Shop in Georgia.” While RM was in business meetings, I would enjoy this unique historical city!
EM and EK love the mother bunny and child!
The splendor of a spring day with blue skies and puffy white clouds with Lookout Mountain in the distance as the sunlight casts shadows on the grass; ahh, spring at its finest!

Good morning Pam, You have so many adorable bunnies at your table! I know your grand girls must look forward to seeing you pull them out and give them their due. I’m smitten with your ‘Famille Rose’ bunny plates every time I see them and I’m big fan of Mary Lake-Thompson and love your napkins! Your mom’s sweet painted bunny is a treasure. Butch’s rye grass makes such a verdant and wonderful back drop to your table with Lookout Mountain in the background. As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you. I hope you’re enjoying some beautiful spring weather this week, we are definitely heating up! 🐇🩷
Good morning, Pam. Wow, this spring table gives me all the feels, especially being that it’s set outside. Pole barn and all the wonderful details, I love it all! I love both Butch’s and Charles Dickens’ quotes too, and I certainly felt the messages this past week while being outside. The Famille Rose bunny plates are such a wonderful addition your classic pattern dinner plates, and all those adorable bunnies on the table are as sweet as can be. They sure temper the feelings we have when the real deals wreak havoc in our gardens, don’t they?? The mother/child bunny is a favorite for me, too, just like EM and EK. Your Reverie stems always make me smile, as does your china in that pattern. In helping my niece clean out my sister’s things, I came upon some chalk eggs too, but without the boxes. They’re my newest little treasures to have out for the season. The memory reminders like you share with your Mother’s and friend’s granddaughter’s bunnies are such wonderful little additions to the table. Not to mention the Pansy Parade’s bunny in the starring role of the newest wooden bowl!
Pam, thank you for joining in this and the many blog hops with your beautiful style.
What a lovely spring table. You have so many bunnies with special meaning on your sweet table. I am glad you let Pansy Parade bunny come and be the star of the table. She is so adorable. Have a beautiful new week. Hugs. Kris
Thank you Kris for your sweet visit! Enjoy your week!
I was so surprised to see this set outdoors as our snow has almost all melted and we have no green grass yet!! Your napkins are lovely and the plates are gorgeous. What a lovely setting to enjoy a spring meal and what a joy it was to “almost” feel that warm breeze!!
Cute, cute, cute! I love every little detail of your charming garden table, Pam! It’s a pleasure to join you today, Cecilia – My Thrift Store Addiction
I LOVE that you have your table set up outside. There is just something about outdoor dining that makes it all the more special. Your bunnies are so cute and perfect for the season. I love all of them, but I do think that I love the bunny couple the most.
Oh Pam, your table made me linger and enjoy every detail especially the beautiful backdrop of Lookout Mountain and green rolling hills behind your picnic table. Of course coming from Ranch Life in the mountains, I fixated on the pole barn as we had a couple so extreme nostalgia set in. I had not seen your view before. LUV IT! Your bunnies made me smile because they have their warm coats on for their Spring outing and dear Pam, must you shame me by beautifully ironing your tablecloth? (it shows)🥰 🫣🥺I reviewed my mussed tablecloth and napkins, promising to take an iron to them in the future instead of just pulling them out of the linen closet. 💕 (Details make a difference).😌 I always look for your memory element and of course there it was. I also like the ‘feel’ of your ‘Famille Rose’ bunny plates and quotes from Butch and Dickens. I had to laugh out loud as I used part of the Dickens quote in my comment to Kim on the weather before I read your post and saw the full actual quote. 😂 All your bunnies are adorable and I know the girls (and boys) love visiting their PJ. Have a great and wonderful week, Blessings always.🙏🏻✝️
Pam, I’m always up for one of your alfresco table settings on your beautiful property in the Appalachian Foothills. Mr. and Mrs. Bunny are the cutest! I know the grands are delighted to join at this darling table. Like minds with our choice of plates today. I don’t have the cute bunny plate set, but find it charming. When I took inventory of my bunny dishes, I couldn’t justify adding these. Ha! Ha! But never say never, right?
The Mary Lake-Thompson bunny linens are adorable. It’s such fun to have cute seasonal linens to brighten up our tables and our homes. I switched out my kitchen linens over the weekend and smile at the cute designs. Cute idea to add the F&F bunny pitcher to a bowl. I’m going to copy that idea! Thanks for always inspiring me, Pam! Happy Spring and Happy Easter!
How wonderful to enjoy spring outside — and with all your bunny friends! (Don’t you just love using your bunny collections on the table? I do — it just lifts it!). Everything, of course, is perfect, from the gingham cloth down to each and every plate! That centerpiece is a winner!
Thank you Jeanie. Yes, bunnies make for a fun table!
I love Butchs comment. We have had very little winter weather but hopefully God will send the Spring rains to this thirsty earth. We are bring told to water the grass and trees because the grass is dying from so little moisture. And if the mountains don’t get the snow pack we need we will have a water shortage. I remember in years past that I saved the water from the washing machine to water plants. Your table today is a delight. Memories are made from each item as well as the precious bowl from Seth and WL and your mom’s little rabbit. And tell me please why the pink and white tablecloth, which I love, is so hard to iron. It looks perfect and of course RM’s planted rye is also the perfect backdrop.
Today will look for pansies to put in urns on the patio. Pray for us to get moisture please.
Alice, Butch and I will definitely pray for rain for all of your area. Water shortages are never good. Thank you for your sweet visits and comments. The tablecloth is large and it is cotton, making it hard to iron! But I persevered!
Adorable table with cute bunnies and sweet dishes! Always a pleasure stopping by! Hugs and blessings.
Thank you Maristella. Sending you hugs and blessings my friend!
Such a beautiful post❣️ Your beautiful calming green rye grass, the barn with hard working machinery and hard working “keepers” of the land, and your sweet table with such a great wooden bowl of love and the bunnies and their stories of treasured love…what a Spring joy to recieve today, thank you Pam. I have my bunny Mary Lake-Thompson tea towels out too! Wishes of a splendid Spring to you and your sweet family. Our weather folks are predicting snow today…but we can see a little bit of green dotting the front and back yards…all in good time…
🌿🌷🌿
Sue you are so sweet to comment. We aren’t expecting snow but next week we have 3 mornings that are predicted to be in the 20’s. There goes all the blooming plants and trees. It will be fine, we aren’t in charge and that is a good thing!
How wonderful to have your table outdoors. The green rye grass looks so beautiful in the background. Your bunnies are adorable but I like your Mother’s the best. So cute.
Your bunny plates are quite lovely and go well with all your treasured bunnies and your bunny centerpiece. And those napkins are a perfect addition. I would love to sit at your table for Easter.
I was hoping I could comment on your post today. I am in the middle of the ocean on a cruise. We are slowly making our way across the Atlantic. Our last country will be Ireland. So I am late commenting but today is the first day we are feeling settled.
Have a wonderful week!
Oh wow Nancy. I knew you were going but didn’t realize you had already begun. Enjoy every minute! I can’t wait to hear all about it. Safe travels, my friend💚☘️💚

What an adorable Springtime table with so many special memories, Pam. Those bunny plates are gorgeous and the napkins are too cute for words. Your mom’s bunny creation warms my heart. The bunny couple make for such a wonderful greeters for your outdoor setting. I enjoyed my time at your table.
Thanks so much, Kitty. I love anything that has a memory attached of family and friends🩷🐰
Hi Pam, I certainly felt like I visiting a land from a storybook. I loved your outside Easter table with such a beautiful setting and backdrop. It is a table from a magical world of bunnies. The large standing garden bunnies in your first photo with the pole barn in the back truly put me into their story. It would be fun to name them and create a playful story about them for Easter for the grandchildren. It was wonderful that your family shopped for your bunny pitcher as a gift. He did make a sweet centerpiece perched in the bowl and surrounded by moss and eggs. The plates are certainly something out of a fairy tale with their florals and beautiful colors. Your Easter setting is whimsical and playful and full of love from gifts from the family. I am so happy you had 80 degree days. Wisconsin is still struggling with changing temps–Mother Nature can’t make up her mind to have Winter or Spring. So she gives up both in one week. Happy Easter to you and your family!
Such a darling table set outdoors Pam. The bunny couple are so sweet. Love, love Pansy Parade’ Fitz and Floyd bunny sitting as a centerpiece. The Mary Lake-Thompson crown bunny linens are so cute. So special to share your Mother’s sweet bunny. I absolutely love the WS Famille Rose plates. I am surprised I haven’t purchased them. So nice to set a table outdoors. Always a pleasure joining you at the table. Happy upcoming spring.
Pam, your sweet bunny couple brought such a smile to my face and I love the outdoor setting with the puffy white clouds and blue sky and the rye grass and yes, even the pole barn, in the background! I love all the bunnies on your table and the one made by your mother is so special. The pink and white checked tablecloth is the perfect backdrop for the oh-so-pretty Famille Rose dishware. The MLT napkins are so cute and the chalk eggs are beautiful and very unique. Just a beautiful table to celebrate all the upcoming occasions. It’s always a pleasure to hop with you my friend, and wishing you a happy spring and a most joyous Easter!
I love how your bunnies are dressed. 😀 Beautiful table and setting as always. Happy spring!
Thank you, Ricki Jill. I missed you on this hop!
Pam, your table is so happy with all the bunnies and the green grass as a background. Your dear mother was so talented, what a blessing to have so many of her creations. How fun to have so many spring birthday celebrations. Is it just me, or is the year hurtling by? It is 85 at the moment and tomorrow night is forecasted for freezing. Everything is budding out, so I hope the weatherman is wrong!
Thank you Roxanne. We have severe weather potential tonight and then cold weather. We have lows in the 20’s the first of next week. That will kill our buds and potential blooms. Oh well, no need to fret. Our Faithful God is in control!
Pam, those bunnies look like they would love jumping off the table and playing in your yard! Very creatively designed table scape with many lovely pieces with special memories!
Thanks so much, Mary! I love a table with memories attached!
Pam, you had me at the first photo of the bunnies with the signs and the picket fence in the background. I don’t know why, but it reminds me of the American Gothic painting of the couple with the pitchfork in a very bunny, whimsical way!! So cute!! I am very envious that you can set a table outside this time of year. Your pink check tablecloth looks so cheerful against the rolling green hill. Love the Famille Rose dishes and all your bunnies. It certainly does sing a perfect spring day!! Wishing you a joyful spring and Easter!🌸🐇🌿
Hi Pam, A beautiful day to move from inside to outside on your picnic table for this lovely spring table setting. The bunny couple are adorable and such a sweet way to say welcome spring. I think the Fitz and Floyd bunny centerpiece is delightful and looks perfect with the wooden bowl. Such a thoughtful gift from your son. As always I love the scripture. Wishing you and Butch a glorious Spring….Hugs.
It’s always a pleasure to be invited to a table in your beautiful outdoor setting, Pam. Seeing the wonderful landscape is another Easter gift. Loved the gingham table cloth is the pastel pink and white. It goes perfectly with your Fitz & Floyd bunny. The bunny plates are quite elegant and work perfectly with your outdoor setting. The bunny couple are so sweet and I love it when people incorporate gifts from family and friends into their table settings. Always a pleasure to hop with you, Pam. Have a very happy Easter!

Reading your blog makes me think of how quickly all the seasons come and go. You give us such beauty to celebrate each season with while it’s here, and it is just such a delight to visit with you. Your beautiful creations and landscape background are so comforting. I pray the Lord will always bless you for all you do and share here.
Thank you, Cheryl! Blessings to you my friend!
Awww Pam – look at all those cute bunnies! Especially the one your mom made. Those memories are the best! I love the big ones gazing off down the slope into the springtime scene. I’m jealous of your 80 degrees, but with any luck, out weather will warm up soon. I didn’t realize the Famille Rose pattern came with bunnies – those are great, and so lovely with the flower bunny napkins. I love everything about this beautiful spring table! Thanks for another round of inspiration – it’s so nice to share a hop with you!
Pam, your al fresco table is gorgeous! That’s a beautiful tablecloth. It’s perfect for the bunny statues. Pink and green are favorite colors for me. I adore the way you put your bunny in the wooden bowl with the eggs around him in moss. That was so clever! I just love it. Your plates pair so well with with the linens. Your mom was so talented. The pieces she painted are fabulous! She was great at painting the eyes! That is truly talent! The little bunny makes you want to pet him because he is so cute. Happy Monday. We’re back to winter today. Clara❤️
Pam, such a lovely setting for a pretty table! I do love a bunny table with a variety of bunnies in sweet scenes on plates and posing cutely. The centerpiece is a great way to showcase an F&F bunny pitcher. I love the soft pink of the tablecloth and the the pale green of the glassware. A serene setting to linger at, enjoying the coming of spring. Wishing you a Happy Easter
What a charming table Pam! And the backdrop is gorgeous! We still have snow on the ground so it will be a bit before we can be dining outside, but I cannot wait! Your plates are so pretty, and I love the mix of colours. The pink gingham tablecloth is right up my alley and it looks so good paired with the patterns of the plates. Your bunnies are adorable and brought a smile to my face! Wishing you a happy Easter!
