A Late Summer Tea In The Garden
In August it is unlikely to have an ideal time to share a cuppa in the garden! But, this particular day was not so hot and humid!
I had seen recipes for an olive oil cake through the years. Last year when I was perusing the May edition of Southern Living there was a lovely cake and the recipe. The olive oil cake was moist, not too sweet, and given a thumbs up by Butch! It paired perfectly with a Pomegranate Green tea!
September Days & Tea In The Cottage Garden
September is the gateway to my favorite month of October and all things autumn!
The Fitz and Floyd Pheasant teapot was a gift from my thoughtful RM in 1997, the year it was introduced.
Long-time readers know I would always choose sweet over savory. A favorite local gift shop sells delicious mini pumpkin pies. It takes a lot of discipline not to purchase several when I visit the shop. The sweets were perfect with a Harvest Blend Herbal Tea from Trader Joe’s.
Tales Of A Tea Party With Charlotte Daisy & Friends
Charlotte Daisy has become a sweet autumn friend to our grandchildren as she finally breaks free from Da’s (RM) stuffy workshop. Last year Charlotte made friends with more scarecrows. Of course, they were invited to the party and Charlotte once again chose the pumpkin teapot! The scarecrows aren’t particularly fond of hot tea!
The new scarecrow gang’s favorite were the home-made S’mores bars!
Sunshine Cottage is a warm and inviting spot for tea and the perfect place to take a short break from the busy holiday season!
For teatime I served a London Fog Tea Latte!
A Warm & Spicy Tea + A Favorite Christmas Cake
Many of you have memories of Russian Tea that was very popular in the mid 20th century. I made a delicious from scratch version with fresh juices to serve with my favorite Christmas cake!
A Fitz & Floyd Santa teapot was a lovely gift many years ago from the ladies in my Sunday School class!
Often we think of roses for celebrating that special February 14th day! A charming teapot of pink and white roses with gingham, plus sweet roses teacups were perfect for a Valentine’s tea!
This table, along with most of my settings, has memories attached…the sweet postman and the home-made cannoli had stories to tell!
A Spring Touch For A Winter Tea
The butterfly teapot is a definite nod to spring and seems to be a favorite with many of my readers.
The fruit-themed tablecloth and Mikasa’s ‘Fruit Rapture’ china also offer a nod to spring!
An Afternoon Of Tea And ‘Reverie’
My wedding china ‘Reverie’ by Noritake is still a favorite pattern after all these years! The definition of ‘reverie’ is the state of being pleasantly lost in one’s thoughts, a daydream. Sunshine Cottage provides the ideal place for tea, daydreaming, and being lost in my thoughts without feeling guilty for wasting time.
An April Tea In The Sunshine Cottage
Dancing light and shadows welcomed the first peony blooms for an April tea with its ‘Pink Toile’ teapot by Churchill. I am a big fan of toile with its romantic pastoral scenes.
May brings the excitement of enjoying tea in the garden! The vintage tablecloth provides a charming foundation for teacups filled with sweet carnations and a white ‘Daisy and Bird’ teapot with pink teacups in the same pattern!
Celebrating 250 With A Patriotic Tea Party
I love setting a table in patriotic colors and was especially excited to celebrate tea for the 250th birthday of our country!
In celebration of our fourth anniversary of Tea on Tuesdays, Mary and I are both giving away a teacup and a favorite tea of our choice!
For my teacup I chose a beautiful Kent Pottery scalloped teacup/saucer with pink roses!
For my tea, I chose Harney & Sons ‘Paris’ tea! This black tea is a delicate blend of currant, caramel, and citrus meant to arouse the senses.

I have always enjoyed this series that y’all take the time to put in so much effort making everything look beautiful and yummy! I just signed up for emails.
I enjoy trying new flavors of tea but it’s hard to beat a basic cup of Earl Grey. My niece enjoys tea also so we often exchange flavors. It’s a fun way to try new ones and know that you are not stuck with a bunch of ones you don’t particularly care to drink.
I pinned your “ a warm and spicy tea plus a favorite Christmas cake”. I absolutely love that china featured in the picture.

I have been an email subscriber for several years. My sister, Nancy, got me hooked since she has hosted a tea for Tea on Tuesdays a few times. In my younger years, my friend and I had plans to open a tea room but those plans fell by the wayside. I so enjoy the tea views, the table arrangements and the vignettes.its difficult to say what a favorite is with all the lovely decor but I have to say it’s usually the scones. My garden club has a tea once a year. Last month’s was held at a friend’s home and with a lovely garden tour with bonsai displays, fish pond and even terrariums. I would love to win so thank you for the offer. I especially love the Paris black tea since my new kitchen will be focused on French decorum. Thank you again for this lovely blog.

Tea on Tuesday is always a favorite. Spring is my favorite and I did Pin that tea. Earl Grey has been my favorite a very long time and I adore all of your tea pots! I’ve given away many of my tea pots but not my favorites. I would enjoy having tea from the very beautiful rose cup.

As for my favorite tea, I like most black teas, but my all time favorite remains Marco Polo by Mariage Fréres. Mariage Fréres is my favorite Parisian tea salon.
I love all your past Tea on Tuesday tables. Each season you really make the table setting for an afternoon tea so pretty. My favorite tea is called the golden hour. It is made with chamomile lavender and smells and tastes wonderful. Wishing you a wonderful week. Hugs Kris
So many gorgeous table settings. I love how you use things like your Hummels in a tablescape and all the holiday ones are extra fun. That olive oil cake looks great!
Ah, favorite tea — that’s tough. I drink mostly Constant Comment decaffeinated tea, but lemon/ginger herbals come close. Recently I had Builders, an English caffeinated tea that was so good I may replace my morning Coke Zero with it! (Don’t judge!) As for a treat, if I’m making madeleines, that’s my top sweet; savory is the traditional cucumber sandwich and scone is probably traditional with currents (or cherries). And clotted cream, then jam! (Are you sorry you asked?)

I so look forward to Tea on Tuesdays! I am a big fan of Harney & Sons Paris, but I discovered Harney & Sons Provence, a flavored white tea this winter and love the floral and fruit flavors. Also, I was captured by the Late Summer Tea in the Garden being a blue and white lover. All the posts are gorgeous and inspiring. A cousin shared your blog with me several years ago and I have to say it has helped me slow down and enjoy this life God has so graciously given me.

My favorite tea is an Elderberry Lemonbalm. I love spiced teas in the Fall and you can’t beat a London Fog ( that latte!). I love all teas so I have an assortment from English breakfast tea, to chamomile and lavender Earl Gray!

Twinings Earl Grey has always been my gold standard, but I recently had the Paris tea at a charity event and it was wonderful! Already a subscriber, and I’m pinning the post with the Reverie china, because they are the dishes of my dreams! I’ve been looking for the teapot for years.

Pam, your compilation has many beautiful tablescapes. I adore all of your teapots! When the navy butterfly one appears it takes me back to a little shop near the cathedral in New Orleans that we visited long ago. It had beautiful, delicate porcelain teapots that I admired . Your daisy and bird one is so pretty to use when it’s so hot outside… like today! I can’t believe it has been 4 years! Congratulations! You always do a great job! Trader Joe’s Harvest Spice tea has been my go-to Fall tea for years now! It is also the tea of choice for our small group’s annual Fall brunch. 🍂
