“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
Psalm 91:1
Lose weight. Exercise more. Declutter. Simplify. Manage finances more wisely. Paint that hallway that has needed it for years. Travel more. Be more intentional. Maybe some of these have been your thoughts as we approach a brand new year. 2016 will bring a clean slate…and what better time to start than January 1?
Butch and I have been discussing some new plans and goals for the year! In addition to getting our eating and exercising back on track, we have been thinking a river cruise in Europe, minor remodeling at our house, and more landscaping! While these things are important, they are not priority.
What about the most important area, our spiritual life? Have we planned our life of prayer and devotion to God’s Word? It is true that we do not know what 2016 will hold for any of us, but I know this one thing: if we trust in the very capable and trustworthy hands of God the Father, we will be safe. When the storms rage, we can be confident that God’s plan will not be thwarted, and his love will never fail us.As we take a look at our top ten posts of the year, we would like to thank you, our readers, for joining us in 2015. You have greatly blessed us with your comments and friendship! Since we started blogging, our hearts have been to honor God in our everyday living…whether that be traveling, cooking, gardening, and even tablescaping. Our lives are His, and we pray that He is at the center of your 2016!

Pam dear to me has been a good year not …
Having found in this ocean that is the Internet your blog has been a panacea for me, a serene garden, a corner to relax … Everything is beautiful samples … maybe because you are a beautiful soul …
I thank you for being you and your husband, yet I thank God for having pointed out the place where you are.
I hope you have much happiness and convey to them that we read.
All the happiness in the world, all the serenity … all the best, dear friends.
With love
P.S. The reason for writing in Spanish and English is because sometimes the translator translates incomprehensible things.

Hola, Dolores. ”

Hello, Dolores. Thank you so much for your kind words! One of the highlights of 2015 was meeting new friends through blogging! You have been such a blessing to meet and your encouragement is rare! It is exciting to meet people in other parts of the world and learn about their lives and culture! Thanks for staying in touch and my husband and I wish for you a very happy and healthy 2016! May God bless you and keep you, my friend! “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”

Dolores
Pam thank you very much for those words so beautiful. I’m sure God has me a very good year, so wish and hope so because my faith tells me that, whatever happens, be with me and help me at all times.
My husband’s health is not good, have had cancer in vocal cords and while good, never know what can happen.
I am born on August 9 and I am LEO … and force is on my side … We will face whatever it takes !!
My purposes for the new year are in an optimistic line. My blogs have been abandoned for lack of time. Now they will begin to flourish because improving my soul is serene attitude and creativity flows like flowers in spring.
Fondly
Dolores

Blogging is such a wonderful way to look back at our year. Your post is making me want to go back and look at my year, but I won’t allow myself that luxury until the house is ready for 2016 – still some empty spaces after Christmas.
Thanks so much for all your shared at Share Your Cup.
